Review of Darker 7P-2A.CarbonAfter having tested so many blades I dared to spend the massive amount of money for two of these. I ordered the first one (82g) and was afraid the order wasnt made, so I ordered another one. In the end I kept both (82g & 85g) because they are superb. Faster than normal 7P-2a but more touch, a little slower and softer than Tibhar dynamic JC, same feeling like NITTAKU Ma Long 5 but more "vrooom!". Similar feeling to DHS 301 but way more finesse. You get both, touch/ feeling AND power. Blocking is also wonderful. When you give the ball a full swing you can hear that really satisfiying "smack" sound. Stunning blade all in all. Best I've had. Absolutely recommended if you can get your hands on it.

Review of DHS Hurricane 301This is one of the best blades I have ever played. So much so that I have needed to rebuy the blade after having sold it because I thought it would have become too fast for me because of a lack of practice during lockdown. If you find one below 85-86g, you are a very lucky person. The combination of power and control is absolutely insane. When I was first playing with it, I was so surprised about how short you can make the ball bounce off in blocks and how much power you can add in a topspin and still hit the edge of the table. It just feels right. I have either used it with Xiom Omega VII Euro or Tibhar Evolution FX-S on the forehand and Tenergy 05FX on the backhand, which was like a dream. Definitely recommended. If you don't care about the weight so much, I would also recommend ordering from China, as the prices are lower there. Also, like BMX2, I highly recommend sealing the blade before glueing.

Review of Donic Waldner Dotec CarbonCompared to Yinhe T-6 and Sanwei HC.5S, this wonderful blade has incredible feel and outstanding control, while still being fast enough. My blade only weighs 75g, so it would be slower than, say, a 85g blade. However, blocking and serving is incredible, while topspins still work perfectly well. The grip is actually quite helpful. Even though I was fearing that my backhand woul get worse, the opposite was true. The rather more "open" grip, supported by Bluefire JP 03 on the backhand really improved my backhand. I put a Blue Acuda P2 on the forehand and this rubber supports a very controlled offensive game. Still, I might be going back to Vega Japan or EL-S or EL-P for a little more power. Anywhoo: Outstanding blade, its rank (currently 13 or 14 - oooh my review boosted it to rank 4!) is well deserved! On top of that, I got mine for only 55€, so I am very happy about it.

Review of Nittaku AlulassThe 84g version I once had played quite well. It supported loops really well and offered good control. Also, it was very useable in the straight game. However, for the price, there are quite a few better blades out there today.

Review of Nittaku Ma Long FiveOne of the best blades I have ever played with. I was so surprised. It is sometimes faster than my DHS 301 (sometimes not), a little faster than my Sanwei HC-5S, really faster than the Darker 7P-2a blades I had, and a lot slower than Sanwei Dragon Dance. All in all, I was really surprised about how spinny my loops actually were, also, I could do backhand topspins I wasn't able to do before. My opponent had trouble blocking them away from the table, because the ball dove down so much, it kicked away from the table in a very flat curve. Moreover, I cannot really remember if any other blade offered about as much control as this one. I think Donic Appelgren World Champion and Donic Dotec Appelgren came close, but were not equal. The blade is a little heavy (87g), but if you choose light rubbers, you can keep the total weight below 180g. Highly recommended.

Review of PP VISPOWER II FL ALCI bought the Vispower blade from the shop in Taiwan (ping-pong.tw). I was very surprised about the wonderful playing characteritics. The only glitch I can see is that the lens sticks out 1-1,5mm, but that ist negligible. Other than that, it is of very good quality, maybe 9/10, considerning the finish of the blade (only some premium Donic, Nittaku or Sanwei blades were nicer). Nonetheless, it doesn't seem to matter much, as this blade plays very well. It is very linear, faster than my DHS 301 and my Sanwei HC-5S and it still offers very good control and helps create spin and really supports topspin play. It gives you the unmistakable feeling of being "just right". On tp of that, you can pick the weight, when you buy from the website mentioned above. It works well with Evolution FX-S on the forehand and Tenergy 05 FX on the backhand. My game feels alive again. Coach Tony also was really kind and offered to engrave my name on the handle and his emails were very helpful in picking the right blade and he answered within one day. Wonderful! I ordered from Europe, so if you are wondering about whether this shop is trustworthy or not, here is your answer: It definitely is! And more.

Review of Sanwei HC.5SHave revently bought two Sanwei HC.5s blades from a German supplier. Both are very light (74g and 76g). Compared to the normal HC.5 blade, they changed the handle (FL) design and handle size. HC.5s has a slightly bigger handle, which is superb for European players, and the handle is slightly longer (101mm). Blade size is 157mm x 150mm and blade thickness is 6mm. The blue plastic inlay has given way to a much nicer metal one. It looks very classy now. I finally gave up on my Yinhe/Galaxy T-6 blades in favour of these two HC.5s blades, because the HC.5s is only a little slower and softer than a very light T-6, but it gives you such a superb feeling of being in control. Also, it has a higher throw arc. I would say it is between Off- and Off. I paired it with Tenergy 25fx (1.9) on my backhand and Nittaku Fastarc C-1 (2.0) on my forehand and these medium/soft rubbers work well. Vega Japan and Victas V-01 stiff (both 2,0mm) both still worked really well on the forehand, but the Fastarc C-1 worked best. My backhand has now improved considerably, I guess that maybe the T-6 was too stiff for my style of backhand looping. All in all, I can really recommend this blade highly.

Review of Sanwei HC. 5My HC5 blade only weighs 79g, so mine could feel a little slower than the ones other users have got. In any way, since I normally play Yinhe T-6 blades (light, from 74-79g), I can compare a little: The T-6 is faster, harder and stiffer, but not much. The handle of the HC.5 blade is a little smaller than Yinhe blades but not too small like Nittaku blades. The blade's quality of production seems very good. My Stiga Maplewood blades in the 100€ range certainly had rougher edges. I put a Tibhar FX-S in 2.0mm on the forehand and a Nittaku Narucross ex soft on the backhand and that worked quite well. However, I would not recommend using even softer rubbers on this blade, but would go for medium to medium hard rubbers the next time, like EL-P or EL-S. Topspins were great with this blade, because I had more control than with my T-6 blade. However, on the backhand, pushes and smashes didn't work as well as with the T-6 at first, because of the slightly higher throw. All in all, because I only paid 18,80€ for it (seller from China on an online auction platform), I consider it to be a true bargain.

Review of Sanwei Feather CarbonI used to play with the Yinhe/Galaxy T-6. Then I found the Sanwei HC.5s. My game improved quite a bit, because I had more control of what I was doing. The Feather Carbon has helped me progress even more. You can get blades between 73-75g. The Feather Carbon is not as linear as the T-6, which is good for me. Blocking is easier, the ball falls back onto the table sooner, which, I think, is because of the balsa core. But then again, when you loop or even smash, you can still get crazy power loops and smashes. It is desribed as an ALL+ blade, but I think it is not, it is rather OFF-. So far, with this blade, I have been able to do with ball what I want to, more so than with other blades. This stays! Highly recommended.

Review of Tibhar Dynamic JC (Darko Jorgic)The blade is really light, 80g. Nonetheless, it feels very crisp and offers a lot of power, but it is still possible to have great control. With Rasanter R45 and Victas V01 Limber it works great. Compared to Nittaku Ma Long 5 and Butterfly Harimoto ALC and to Viscaria it produces really good spin, too. I like it very much.

Review of Yasaka Reinforce LTVery good blade. Light and fast and a decent grip, even for my European hands. It is right there in the middle for my offensive playing style: Not too fast, but fast, not too hard, but decently stiff for flat hitting, but also felxible enough for looping. I had quite a few blades on my table for next season: Tibhar Dynamic JC, Sanwei Super 75, Sanwei 75 Inner, Hurricane Long 3, Ma Long Five, Donic Waldner Senso Ultra Carbon ... but in the end, Reinforce LT was in the middle of everything, very good at everything, also including price.

Review of Yinhe T-6Among the many blades I have tried, this is one of the best ones. At the very least, you will get a lot of "bang" for your "bucks", especially if you select a very light blade. I have seen 85g blades and heavier, and these do not support my game very well, they just feel too much like an iron frying pan. However, over time I have been able to find four very light blades. They are 74g, 76g, 77g and 79g. The 76g one still works great while the 74g one seems to lose some of the T-6's characteristic features. It is a little slower and not as linear. The T-6 usually gives you a "straight" or linear feeling, which I need for pushes and blocking. Moreover, because of the Hinoki outer plies, opening loops still work really well, at least with the Vega Japan or Tibhar Evolution (EL-P, EL-S, FX-S and FX-P) rubbers. In comparison, most wooden blades feel mushy to me. Control is awesome in light blades. If you put a slower rubber on it, you can play a very good allround game and you can chop and push superbly. However, I recommend not to try Neo Hurricane III or other harder rubbers on this blade. Without a lot of training, you will keep missing the table by a few centimetres in longline topspins. Quality and craftsmanship of this blade are really good and at least as good as the 3-4 Stiga blades or even the Donic World Champion blades I have tried. The only blade that looked better from the start was the Victas Firefall FC. However, what you probably should do is sand off the hard edges with sandpaper so your grip becomes more comfortable and also I would strongly recommend sealing the blade. The flared handle is very good and not only made for small hands like the Nittaku blades. All in all, I'm rating this at 9.5.

Review of Yinhe Qiu Yike RosewoodOnce had a 78g version of this blade, which wasn't too stiff and it also was rather medium hard. It supported topspins very well and offered superb control. It played similarly to my T-6 blade, which I appreciate very much. It might have a been a tiny bit slower/ softer and it might have been better quality. However, because I wanted two or three blades, I decided to buy T-6 blades rather than this one, solely because of the rather high price of this blade, even if it is still cheaper than the Stiga Rosewood blades. So, all in all, I would still heartily recommend this blade.
