Palio A1

Not sure if this one exists anymore but a great blade for a complete beginner for that price. Not too fast not too slow. It has good control. Felt a bit too stiff but I guess it can be compensated with the right rubbers. I paired it with Yinhe Moon and it was good enough for years. When you improve your technique the lack of speed starts to limit you. If it is still purchasable I would reccomend for a beginner.

I was looking for a cheap solid wood blade and by chance I found the Palio A1 for just under € 14. This blade is really flawlessly processed and the handle fits well in men's hands. The weight is 83 grams. The outer veneer is real hard, which creates a pleasant and very direct feel. The control is very good, even though this blade is quite fast. In my estimation it is in the range Off to Off+ !!! ( - in Germany, most people would say, this blade is a real "cudgel" !!! ) Conclusion: cheap, very hard offensive blade for little money. Respect to Palio !!!
