Experienced coach from China said : "Because of the super light carbon blade, this amazing blade allows player to position their paddle at ready position at all time". It allows player to move faster on the playing field. If your arms or your wrist suffered from injuries or chronic pain, this maybe the perfect blade for you due to reduced weight without sacrificing speed and control.
I had some hopes on this blade given its interesting design and low weight, but it did not live up to my expectations. However, it is cheap and hence nevertheless reasonable value for money. The low weight combined with the tiny grip makes it fairly suitable for children combinend with a pair of control rubbers. Personally though, the grip is too small and, since it is so light, center of gravity did not end up where I want it.
Can't beat the value for the price on this one. Mine weighs in at 72g, and I rate the speed as a solid OFF-. Too fast for novices, but perfect for anyone looking for a nice balance of speed and control. The handle is not that small, a bit less than average, but I would wager within a standard deviation of all production blades. I prefer the feel of thick handles, but recently noticed that my T-9 (thickest I've ever owned) was giving me wrist pain that other blades do not. The Cat has very distinct gears, which is a good thing, linear blades have a poor margin for error. This is an unfinish blade, so you will need to file the razor sharp edges, and may want to seal the playing surface...
I get this blade cheap from ali express. Its a super light weight blade (69g) which i like very much. I can feel my swing are faster and easier. However the handle is fairly thin but after adding an overgrip, the thickness is just right. The top ply i think is a koto rather than ayous, because there was a fish scale pattern on it. The core is kiri for sure. Middle is carbon. Set it with rakza 7 max on fh and rakza 7 soft max on bh. The speed from this setup was quite fast, feels was clear and what i love was the high pitch 'tok' sound coming from it when hitting the ball. Control was not bad, but 5ply all wood blade control are better. 6mm thick if im not mistaken, can feel it flexing a bit when hitting hard. Not for blocker, excellent for fast attacking player. Short push also not bad, its bouncy, maybe because of the koto outer layer. So far, im quite happy for this blade. Its my new weapon for fast attacking play.
