ZLC Carbon blade is one of the best XVT blades .Based on High-Elastic ZL Carbon Fiber and High Quality Spuruce Layer, ZLC becomes very powerful and elastic.
This blade is fast. Control is ok, but excells at loops, counterloops, smashes. Requires good skill from player, but reward when attacking is extra speed and spin loaded balls.
Rubbers should be at least 45deg(Vega pro mxp,s1,m1,etc).
Update after 4 years:
Played with xiom aramid carbon blade (feel ax), which is more crisp and powerfull and then switched to xvt zlc - it has control and enough speed, but feel ax is more agresive and vibrates less.
So xvt zlc is slower, but with better control. Woodish feel and vibrates a bit on hard strokes.
What a surprise not so stiff like most ZL Blades. Feels very woody. Have ZL Hinoki, ZL Spring, ALC Dragon. This one is the Slowest but with most flex. I would rate it as an Off- or Off Blade. With full power you get a nice extra kick. Feels very similar to Yinhe N9s.
a very good wood, good speed, good control, but when sticking my tires, (blueffire m1 turbo and dhs goldarc8) the weight increased too much and I preferred to stay with the xvt rosewood nano7, which made me quite comfortable.
A good surprise, it is a fast and controllable blade. Made for top spin. Better to play with medium hard rubber such as Skyline neo 2 , or tensor rubber where then it becomes very dynamic.
It is a innerforce ZLC clone. compared to XVT hinoki ZLC it is a little bit slower, but with more ability for top spin.
external layer are KOTO , + 2 ZL layer +1 central kiri probably
