Friendship/729 Battle 3
Review of Friendship/729 Battle 3Updates: B3 H40 (50g on 158x150 blade) is a magical under USD$25 FH rubber as tested on both OFF+ full wood blades, Butterfly Andrei Mazunov FL, 98g and ZLC blade (Stuor Nobilis). I applied 2 layers of booster on B3, 1 layer on blade. After first 2 hours of active play, B3 has slowly broken in, it has maintained it's characteristics due to its high durability of the top sheet. It can still hold a TT ball for 5-7s after picking it from table after 70hr+ of play (3 months). It is slightly better than B2 Gold (50.5g) and way better than Jupiter Asia 3 (47g) (all H40) in terms of speed, tackiness, backspin serve, loop against long back/side spin serve B3>>B2G>J3, mid-far looping B3>B2G>>J3 (OFF+ blades contribute significantly to this), spin and arc B3>B2G>>J3, throw B3>B2G>>J3. Lifting/Flick against backspin serve B3>>J3>B2G. B3 has near perfect control, serve, loop, even flat hits - this under USD$25 rubber has outperformed and likely to outlast most rubbers that are 2-3 times more expensive.Aug 27, 2024

Friendship/729 Battle II Provincial Gold
Review of Friendship/729 Battle II Provincial GoldUpdated 2024 July 20. Blade: Nittaku Factive Carbon ("NFC") (80.5g). FH: B2 Gold 40H ("B2G") (50.5g; 3 layers of booster; gained 2.5g over 3 weeks likely the moisture absorbed). BH: (Moon Pro (45g) has replaced AK47 Red (41g) for a heavier setup (176g). I thought B2G has peaked on 2024 Jun 28 (after broke in on 2024 Jun 14), but surprisingly it keeps getting better til July 19): Speed >= Jupiter Asia 3 H40 ("J3") (47g). Tackiness >>>J3. Backspin serve >> J3. Mid-far looping >= J3. Spin and Arc >> J3. Throw > J3 (need to close the angle more due to stiff NFC and harder B2G combination). Lifting/Flick against backspin serve < J3. B2G has better control, serve and loop than J3 but significantly lower hit rate for flat hits (must only brush instead of flat smash). Updated (2024 Jun 12): after 3x1 hours of play over a week, the rubber (has broken in) is more controllable, tackiness remains (only use water and palm to wipe off dust after each session). Quality top sheet.Aug 27, 2024

Friendship/729 Aurora Max PRO
Review of Friendship/729 Aurora Max PROUpdated Sep 14: What Aurora, just rename it as "Sad throw away" rubber (worst rubber I have reviewed), I would be happier getting a Happy Meal instead. This sad rubber is not tacky or grippy for proper backhand power loop (Yinhe Moon Pro (M) and Moon 12 Blue (H-) are much better).EJ virus and positive reviews led me to Aurora Max Pro Red Semi-Hard (uncut:68.5g (heavy for backhand) cut to 48g on 158x150 Nittaku Factive Carbon; the 3.6 rating here is a joke, App owner might want to change this to float rather than ordinal metric that is not giving any useful weight info). Palio AK 47 Red
Review of Palio AK 47 RedUpdated on 2024 Sep 5: For better high speed control and durability for BH rubber, I could go for either Moon 12 Blue H- (43g), Moon Pro Red M (45g), Jupiter 3 Asia Red H38 (46g) depending on one's preferred weight distribution. Will review Aurora Max Pro Semi Hard, 48g, on my lightest blade next.BH: AK 47 Red (AK47, 41g on 160x152 blade) - tone down tensor - pair with heavier blade (A. Mazunov An; 98g) to reduce weight. Fast gunshot attacks (flick-smash, loopdrive, loop), easy 1-2m away table returns, spinny serve, low chops, precise returns, but its side can chip off easily (not as durable as my newly preferred Moon 12 Blue (H-, 43g). Yinhe Jupiter 3 Asia

Review of Yinhe Jupiter 3 AsiaUpdated (2024 Sep 14): Happy BH rubber. This is for Red H38 (49g) (BH of both 729 ALC AD (94.5g) and Nittaku Factive Carbon ("NFC", 80.5g)). This is a viable BH rubber for power loop/drive/smash (similar performance to Moon Pro and Moon 12 Blue but the cheapest as I recently bought it during Super Deals in AliExpress for SGD$12). I used it on my lightest blade NFC to boost the overall weight to 180g.Updated (2024 Aug 2) Blade: Stuor Nobilis ZLC Hinoki "Stuor NZLC") (87.5g). FH: Jupiter Asia 3 H40 ("J3") (46.8g) is pure joy! It is one of the most underrated attacker's FH rubber that is pure magical when you have the technique to play it on a stiff and hard carbon blade. J3 is better than J3 39 and Battle 2 Gold wrt power loopdrive, flat smash and overall play on Stuor NZLC. After some 100hrs of play, it lost most of the tackiness, but after boosting with 3 layers of haifu glue and improvising some techniques, this 9 months old rubber has been reborn as the FH rubber for my main blade due to its direct attacking attributes. It is easy to flick backspin serve after familiarized with rubber charteristics. Backspin serve is < Battle 2 Gold. Performance to Price ratio: 10/10 (only SGD18+ from AliExpress for such consistent, powerful , and durable FH rubber). Likely to get the H41 version next. Sep 14, 2024

Yinhe Moon 12
Review of Yinhe Moon 12BH: M12 (H- , 43g) and FH: J3A (40, 46.8g) on Stuor Nobilis ZLC Hinoki (Stuor NZLC) (87.5g). Since this is a BH rubber, I tend to prefer the hardest sponge offering (H-) to pair with one of my stiff+hard blades (Stuor NZLC) mainly for quicker response and faster (speed should be much higher at 8.9 than the low average 8.3 given) attacks (flick, loopdrive, loop) all with high control (9/10 with good techniques). Even at H-, the hard Stuor NZLC allows M12 to be easily compressed to produce addictive gunshots sound during power backhand flick-smash (similar to AK47R but with better control). It was better with backspin / spinny serve than J3A on this blade that I will switch M12 over to forehand during serve. Control is high to have accurate placement be it chops or attacks. The top sheet is more glossy than matte and is likely to last very long (more durable than AK 47 Red "AK47") and is an excellent alternative to my AK47 (40g). I prefer M12 to AK47R for a heavier setup on Stuor NZLC. This is a keeper as it is only a few dollars more than AK47R but significantly more durable.Aug 01, 2024

Yinhe Moon Pro

Review of Yinhe Moon ProBlade: Nittaku Factive Carbon (updated: reglued on Stuor Nobilis ZLC for spinner BH loop on main set-up)BH: Moon Pro M ("MP", 45g) FH: Battle 3 ("B3", 49.5g) Overall weight: 183.5g MP has controllable high speed with good technique (neither as bouncy as AK Red nor better in punching than Moon 12 Blue but it's higher tackiness offers highest control + speed + spin with proper brushing technique) for powerful attacking flick-smash, loop-drive and loop. Effective low return on backspin serve. Backhand serve is also spinny, but not at B3 level. Tackiness has lasted for several months now with regular cleaning using water only. Luckily the top sheet is super durable given it's higher price (SGD$25; Shopee) than AK and Moon 2 Blue (both SGD$16; AliExpress) Sep 12, 2024

Yinhe Moon 12 Blue
Review of Yinhe Moon 12 BlueOn both Stuor Nobilis ZLC Gold and Friendship 729 Advanced ALC Blue, the H- hardness M12 Blue has Superb controlled+precised+fast backhand loop-drive and counter loop after I switched back from 4 months of using J3A. Perhaps the resistance training using a slower J3A has refined my backhand looping techniques to play with explosive precision using M12 Blue. The stiff blade along with H- hardness might have contributed to the high throw + fast + spinny (via wrist movement) backhand looping to easily clear the net. The most incredible part is that I could fast loop-drive (even drive / hit) with high precision on my backhand. This Gen 8th rubber could be the best price/performance Chinese backhand rubber. May try the H+ on the forehand soon.Feb 22, 2026
