JOOLA Rhyzer 43

Review of JOOLA Rhyzer 43I try this Rhyzer 43 2.0 red with DHS Hurricane 5, Fastarc P1 2.0 on the other side. It's a fast and bouncy rubber, very similar to Fastarc P1 in term of speed. But the throw angle is lower than Fastarc P1, it's medium-low, trajectories are very directs, making it an excellent backhand rubber. The short play is easy : it's not very sensitive to the incoming spin and control is good if you don't engage the sponge. Blocking and flat hit : surprisingly very good, the medium hardness of the sponge let me thinking this rubber will be very limited on that compartment but I was wrong. Blocking even against strong topspin is a piece of cake, flat heating against a ball whitout consistency is easy to. Topspin : The softness of the sponge help a lot for topspin, grip is good, not better not worst than all other modern tensors. Counter topspin requiert a good technic and/or be used to play with bouncy rubbers. Conclusion : Good backhand rubber, bouncy, medium hardness, medium throw angle, many gears for close table players. Not recommanded for forehand side, mid-distance (or more) players, to soft for high level players. Speed : Rakza 9 > Fastarc P1 = Rhyzer 43 = MXP > MXS = Fastarc G1 > Rasant grip Spin : MXS = G1 > Rakza 9 = P1 = Rhyzer 43 = MXP = Rasant grip Throw angle : MXS > G1 > P1 > Rasant grip > MXP = Rhyzer 43 = Rakza 9 May 13, 2018

Tibhar Evolution EL-S

Review of Tibhar Evolution EL-Sblade : waldner senso carbon Jo shape ; FH => Tibhar EL-S 2.0 red ; BH => Tibhar MX-S 1.9 blackPlayed with P-ball. It's a good rubber with P-ball, for off- player who not play to far from the table. Very pleasant feeling, it gives the sensation to be capable to perform all table tennis shots and trickshots. The sponge hardness is medium hard but not more, it feels less hard than mx-s or mx-p for example. Definitly not off+ rubber, slower than mx-p or rasant powergrip and a little slower than fastarc p1. The rubber's description tells EL-S is a mix of MX-S topsheet and MX-P dynamism, it isn't entirely true. It's more a mx-s with more catapult effect than a grippy mx-p. If you expect the same dynamism than mx-p you will be disapointed. If you search a rubber a little more punchy for top spin than MX-S, it will be perfect ! Throw angle is medium so it can be surprizing for players who like high throw angle rubbers with high arc top spin. Speed : MX-P >> MX-S = EL-S Spin : MX-S >or= EL-S > MX-P Control : EL-S > MX-S >> MX-P Catapult effect : MX-P >> EL-S > MX-S Hardness : MX-S > MX-P > EL-S Weight : EL-S >or= MX-S > MX-P Throw angle : MX-P = MX-S > EL-S Jul 23, 2016

Tibhar Evolution MX-D
|

Review of Tibhar Evolution MX-DPlayed on off- blade, FH MX-D max, BH Victas V22 max. I played a long time with V15 extra max both sides, and before I had a MX-S 1.9-2.1mm on FH side. To me, MX-D is the spiritual son of the V15 extra. Build for counter offensive play, low spin sensitive, very linear but powerfull, not for spin oriented players. It's simply the best rubber I ever seen for counter topspin. It's is very effective on smash / block / flick, the throw angle is medium high but topspin against backspin is easy. The mecanical grip is good and the ball never slip on the rubber. I don't feel the 50° of hardness, more like 47°, a little more than MX-S. The only weak point for me is the services that have less spin and more complicated keeping the ball short (and I don't play with an off+ carbon blade...). MX-D is the best counter offensive rubber on the market, an improvment of V15 extra. If you search an update of the MX-S, you will be desappointed (Victas V-22 is what you want).Mar 11, 2023

Victas V > 11 Extra

Review of Victas V > 11 ExtraIt's the perfect BH if your are not a looper, on FH side the lack of spin maybe problematic to serve and top spin. The first thing is the weight : 41 gr (2 mm cut), 44 gr (max cut), it's unbilievable for a 47° rubber ! Modern tensor rubbers are often heavy, with V>11 extra 2mm on BH, I can have a heavy FH rubber and my blade rests under 180 gr. Caracteristics : very linear tensor effect, medium hard sponge, medium high throw angle, insensitive to incoming spin but you can't generate heavy spin either on opening top spin. Good : serve return, flick, block, flat hit, couter top spin Bad : serve, slow and spinny top spin, chop (and all back spin effects) Oct 26, 2021

Victas V > 22 Double Extra
|

Review of Victas V > 22 Double ExtraReviewed on off- blade, FH MX-D max (52gr), BH V22 max (49gr). I played a long time with V15 extra max (48gr) both sides and a searched an improvment in term of spin with the same feeling. First, this is not an improvment of V15, it's a new rubber. It's closer to Tenergy 05 for the feeling : good mecanical grip, hardness 45° (definitely not 50°), bouncy but more linear than T05 (less than V15). More spin sensitive than V15, that's why the feeling is different, but not very sensitive like T05. So in comparison with V15 extra : faster, bouncier, little more spin sensitive, much more grippy, much better for service, same on block/short game/flick. The throw angle is to high for my FH because I play close to the table but it will be very suitable for mid distance player. I tried in max Hammond Z2, V22 and MX-D : speed MX-D >= V22 > Z2 ; grip V22 >> MX-D >> Z2 ; service V22 >> Z2 > MX-D ; short game Z2> V22 >= MX-D ; first topspin V22 > MX-D >> Z2 ; block Z2 >> V22 = MX-D ; counter topspin MX-D >>> V22 > Z2Mar 11, 2023
