Butterfly Tenergy 64
Review of Butterfly Tenergy 64Extremely fast, but the minimal spin and softness of the sponge makes it extremely easy to control topspin loops. Attacks close to the table and away from the table are also fairly easy. The reason I wouldn't recommend this rubber is that (for FH) it is somewhat sensitive to spin and has a spring sponge; thus, it is hard to have a strong short game. Also, this rubber is not strong for chopping. ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK! I recommend T80 if you're looking for short game without losing anything.T64 is perfect for blocking and counterattacking and makes a fantastic FH and BH rubber as long as it fits your playing style! Butterfly Tenergy 25
Review of Butterfly Tenergy 25Update: I recently switched to playing with Tenergy 25 on both sides, and my search is finally complete. I cannot stress how fantastic this rubber is. It plays with many gears. You can hit it softly and precisely with the hard rubber, you can generate a decent amount of spin on a short push using only the topsheet; when hitting the ball harder and swinging full strokes, this rubber has an unlimited supply of power. It doesn't always seem as fast as 05/64 because it does play like a hard rubber. If you let your arm speed work, and use your feet and hips with your swing, this rubbers speed and trajectory are unmatched.Further, on an off-the-bounce shot or a block, the rubber just puts the ball over the net and onto the other side of the table. It's serves surpass the 05/h3/tg2 and other quality rubbers if you learn to control the sponge and topsheet well. This rubber is extremely underrated. Using this on both sides, I beat a player over 500 points over my rank and it felt easy. Rubber is not always the solution, but if it matches your style, it can be a good aid. This rubber plays like a Tennis player would demand it to. Also, if you prefer chinese fh but want a little catapult, this should suffice. It is a rubber for pacing and driving. Short Push: T80 = T25 > T05 > T64 Counterloop: T25 > T80 > T64 > T05 Brush Loop: T05 > T25 > T80 > T64 Drive: T25 > T64 > T80 > T05 Chop: T25 > T05 = T80 > T64 Lifting Underspin: T05 > T80=T25=T64 Mid-distance: T64 > T25 > T05 > T80 Control: T25 > T05=T80 > T64 Speed: T64 (less/equal) T25 > T80=T05 A lot of this has to do with technique as mentioned above. Butterfly Tenergy 80
Review of Butterfly Tenergy 80It is not impacted in the slightest by incoming spin which makes it phenomenal for short game and close to the table drives. The lack of spin sensitivity also makes chops close to the table extremely easy (short push chops) and distance chops don't sail too much if you use the proper technique Update 2: After a few weeks, playing an hour or two almost everyday, the rubber still plays just as fast./ after breaking in the rubber, it just got spinnier... at first it required a specific stroke to generate heavy spin; now it's effortless Not my favorite rubber, but probably the best one on the market. Butterfly Tenergy 05
Review of Butterfly Tenergy 05Tenergy 05:Push: The reviews that say short game is difficult with 05 are drunk. This is possibly the best rubber Ive used BH or FH for short pushes; spin and placement were both solid. Flick: Flicks were impressive. Banana Flip: Easy to control provided the wrist motion was fast enough. ¦ cant baby hits with this rubber at all. Counter: I was fairly impressed at close-to-the-table counters with this rubber; Loop: Possibly the best rubber on the market for looping. Strong mid-distance spin and speed. Chop: Excellent chop game. Lift: I didnt even notice backspin. Serves: Probably the best rubber Ive used for serving as well. People complain about the price, but it's only about 5 bucks more than any rubber that comes near it on a quality level... lasts a really long time. I doubt I'll switch from this rubber (and I've been a hardcore EJ for about 2.5 years) Apr 30, 2014

Butterfly Tenergy 05 FX
Review of Butterfly Tenergy 05 FXRequires less effort than Tenergy 05. Typical soft rubber benefits like dwell time, and more spin/speed on slower shots. Lower throw angle than 05. Not as strong for drives or loops.Better for chop than 05. Surprisingly more difficult to block. Apr 30, 2014

DHS Hurricane 3 (H3)
Review of DHS Hurricane 3 (H3)Not the best rubber in the world...Far slower than T05, T64 and T80 Less spin than all 3 (except on serves.. there it is somewhat equal to T64) Not bad for looping close to the table, but if you're used to catapulting and not pushing forward, distance loops may seem awkward. The speed of the rubber is hard to keep consistent because of the gears. If you push to slow on the short game, the ball won't move, but if you push too hard, it may fly off the table. It's not going to take away much from your game, but if you aren't used to Chinese rubbers, it may take awhile (especially if you're used to Tenergy). It isn't AWFUL. Give it a shot if you aren't into tensors and spring sponge rubbers. Feb 17, 2013

Xiom Omega IV Pro

Review of Xiom Omega IV ProEffortless looping. Low serves. Incredible speed. Very nice rubber from Xiom! (Makes a good FH rubber, but would probably pair better as a backhand to Sigma Europe)Feb 25, 2013

Xiom Vega Europe
Review of Xiom Vega EuropeVery solid rubber from Xiom! Great for sidespin topspin loops, topspin smashes, blocking...This rubber is missing a significant amount of speed and spin when compared to any of the tenergy rubbers (except that it has quite a bit more spin than tenergy 64) This rubber isn't the best for chopping, but it is pretty solid at close-to-the-table play! Overall it's a pretty high quality rubber, and for 37 bucks, it's more than worth it! Mar 04, 2013

Xiom Sigma 1 Euro
Review of Xiom Sigma 1 EuroWorks extremely well as a backhand rubber. It keeps the ball low, is great for short game, very effective for topspin and sidespin service return or mid-distance full strokes, and blocks pretty well.On the hard tilts and smashes the rubber releases a great deal of spin, making backhand smashes almost un-returnable. Xiom Sigma II Euro
Review of Xiom Sigma II EuroThis is not a rubber for beginners, and that is likely why it is not considered as fast as it is. Like the tenergy series, the speed relies on how much spin you generate and whether or not you use proper form. Like with Tenergy 80, the short game is exceptional because the rubber almost feels dead if you aren't playing with full strokes. It is exceptional for chopping short and at a distance. It is a monster for looping (be careful and make sure to use European strokes when close to the table or the ball will rocket well beyond the playing surface!), and actually blocks quite well from mid-distance. This is the best rubber I have played with by far, but it does take precision to tame. Don't buy this if you're learning or planning on just "testing it"... it is rated "tour" by Xiom for a reason. The only drawback for me was the lack of spin generated on serves, and the decrease in sidespin (even with full strokes) that I was used to from T05, T25, Omega Pro and T80 Feb 06, 2014
