Review of 999 Super 999TFor the money ($5 on eacheng), I don't think you can get a better value. Rubbers comes close to it are Galaxy Mercury and 729 OEM. It can be used both on forehand and backhand, although I think it is more suited for forehand. I had this rubber on both sides (both 2.2mm) on a 999 premade paddle. Tackiness for red and black are the same. Both can hold the ball upside down indefinitelty when fairly new. It has a medium-hard but very elastic sponge for a Chinese rubber. Better than DHS. After it showed visible sign of wear and tear, it can still produce decent speed and spin. It is a looping rubber, not a smashing rubber. The control comes and only comes in brushing/looping. Since it is a Chinese rubber, you shouldn't go too far when using it (no more than 6 feet).

Review of Andro RasantThis is no backhand rubber. Only God can bring its full potential on the backhand side. I couldn't loop or flick well where I could do with T64 easily. I have it (1.9) both sides on SPW blade. It's the best setup I have ever tried so far. My third ball attack is better than when I was using Chinese rubber. The spin on loops is no fake spin. They are real! It is not so good for blocking. A counter loop is much more preferred. Counter loops at mid distance is new experience for me. It has a low trajectory, but it clears the net and put your opponent under pressure even if you are farther away from the table. Also, it has so much control. It is very different from T05 in this property. Since it's a tensor, some shots tend to go long when you are too close to the table.

Review of Andro Hexer+This rubber is very similar to my previous backhand rubber, which is Joola Express 1. However, this is a tuned down version of it, meaning a little less speed but a little more spin. I have the red 2.1 version. Maybe because I bought it used (2-3 months old), the spin is not where I'd like it to be. It is okay for opening loop on the backhand side, but it is hard to make consecutive loops from the backhand corner. I often had to twiddle to my forehand rubber, which is Tenergy 05, for continuous backhand loop situation. Again, it might be better if it was new. When I look for a backhand rubber, in terms of spin capability, it needs to be on par with Yasaka Rakza X or Donic Bluefire JP01. This one definitely feels lacking compares to those two. However, when you punch/smash/power loop the ball, it goes pretty fast! So you need to adapt to this characteristic of the rubber. I know it did. I have had this rubber for a year now on my backup racket (used for 4-5 months sporadically), and it looks very similar to the condition when I received it. This rubber actually works really well for lobbing and fishing, which is a big part of my game. It has tons of control is those department. It also work fine for chopping, but I only do it when I am really out of position. Luckily, it save my butt many times. In summary, if your backhand game is generally pretty flat (block/drive/smash) with occasional loops, give this rubber a try. It may work well for your game.

Review of Haifu Blue Whale II (2) (Untuned)My sheet (black, max, black sponge) didn't last very long, but that might be because I had the training version. After six weeks of heavy use (about 7 hours a week), the topsheet showed visible tear and wear. The sponge also ripped when I removed the rubber.
The combination of tacky topsheet and semi-elastic Jap/Euro style sponge can produce some serious spin while serving. It is right there with DHS rubbers. However, on loop I couldn't "feel" how much spin I put on the ball. The looping sensation is very different from, say, Skyline 3 even though they are both Chinese forehand rubbers. Whale II is more like a hybrid between Chinese and Euro/Jap. I don't think it's a backhand rubber. It has enough power and spin but lacks spin, which will suit for forehand more than backhand. If it is not for the poor durability, heavy weight, and the low throw angle, this would be the perfect forehand rubber for me.
I bought it because of the sexy black sponge under the black topsheet, but I don't think Haifu makes it that way anymore. They have the pink/red sponge which is very similar to the Shark line.

Review of Reactor ThunderMedium hard sponge tends to soft up a bit. It took couple months to break in at that moment. Six months already, it's still going strong!
Update 1:
I finally decided to changed it after 7 months. Don't give me wrong; it was still perfectly usable. I just wanted to try something new. So I put it on my Mom's paddle (bh). I glued it with traditional glue, so the sponge softened up a bit even more.
This is a Chinese rubber I wouldn't mind to go back to on the backhand side, especially the red version. It is lighter than the black ones. But right now, I want to try some more rubbers!
