There are 1 users using the Dawei Inspirit Quattro Ultralight Power 42.
This is the 42° version of the Dawei Inspirit Quattro Ultralight. The topsheet is thinner to reduce the weight and let the ball sink in deeper for more mechanical spin.
This rubbber is decent at the table for backhand blocks and short drives. Not enough spin to be a forehand rubber unless you're using a hard hitting, zero dwell blade and don't care about loops anyway. Away from the table, it comes up short and doesn't feel as solid as regular Quattro rubber for power smashes and counters. Even though IQUL 42 has a slightly harder sponge, the thicker topsheet on regular Quattro gives an overall more solid feel. The incoming power is focused to a smaller spot because of less resistance,
Quality product, looks and plays very well. Non tacky, euro/jap style offensive rubber, with linear response and excellent ratings to all categories. Fast, controllable, gives the good player the confidence that a good hit will surely go where it was meant to, with all the speed and spin effected by the player. Medium weight. Paired with carbon 7plies makes a truly amazing combination. Chinese products like this, make the market better, considering their price...
Read the other IQUL reviews if you want general info about Dawei IQUL rubbers. I will add that this is the hardest (around 40 on DHS scale) version of IQUL, therefore the speediest and the least sensitive rubber in that range. I would advise to use on FH for loopers used to having something like a glued Sriver L, or on BH for blockers/counterdrivers who want to slow down their fast blade for better control on backhand but still keep good speed and excellent flat game on that side. Mostly for players who have advanced technique and good touch control - otherwise stick with IQUL 40/35.
