SANWEI meets market demand by upgrading its products and launching a new ultra-light AU series. The first applications of the latest large-pore cake sponge in this rubber, provide elasticity and further reduce weight. It is also coupled with a SANWEI nano surface technology, non-sticky surface, to ensure ball speed.
-AU-Golden: The excellent point of the brand new AU rubber is "control" as a combination of self-innovated non-sticky rubber with the then developed A50# cake sponge. Thanks to the nano-technique, this non-sticky rubber can provide more friction to hold the ball stably, while the A50# as a low-density, lightweight cake sponge with many airbags can fully support the rubber and improve the fault-tolerant speed. The AU rubber could make it easier to spin the fierce topspin ball back towards the opponent, actively or passively, and create more opportunities to have the upper hand on the first three strokes.
Type: Control/Loop
Features: Lightweight/non-sticky rubber/large pore cake sponge

Greetings- bought a couple of these (green sponge version) and glued them on a 92 gm sword vsea. Didn't really know what to expect as there are few reviews ( which vary considerably),and there seems to be 3 different sponges used (green, yellow and white), and Sanwei give no info as to any differences between them. You would assume that except for the colour, all versions would be the same, but from the close up pictures there seems to be a wide variation in the size of the pores, and even the topsheets look different (red and black look slightly frosted and the blue and pink are shiny). So, your options are, red and black topsheets with either green or yellow sponge, or pink and blue topsheets with white sponge.Apparantly all are same thickness and hardness. My red and black with green sponge versions are virtually without pores, feel soft but firm and there is some, but minimal tack, good grip.On the Vsea the rubber felt linear with nice spin, but what was surprising was the lower throw that was very consistent throughout the power range. The ball grab at high swing speed was impressive without much catapult, and I had a more than usual number of fast, low, spinney loop drives of high quality. I'm sure the Vsea was a substantial part of the mix as well.So my initial thoughts are ; this is a soft spinney control rubber with the ability to handle power well, but probably needs a fast blade to realize it's potential. Lower throw ,linear, inexpensive. Update 11 Oct 2026- now have a blue topsheet version- seems same performance . I think this rubber is under rated in both speed and spin, and the blue/pink ratings are more accurate. One of those rubbers where the more you push it,the better it performs.

Attention!!! This Rubber is Illegal according to ITTF. It is neither produced from Sanwei nor listed on the official List of ITTF. I contacted ITTF and Sanwei. ITTF said, that the Rubber is not listed and the Rubber with this Serial Number is Hyper Z 1. Sanwei said that they did not produce this Rubber and they are investigating the Issue. The Rubber Sanwei Hyper z 1 has the same Serial number 62-022. This one too and the Black one has the 62-023.

Saw it on Aliexpress for €7 and bought it with Hurricane 3 bs. This rubber says it isn't tacky, but it still lifts the ball up unlike other grip type rubbers. It doesn't feel tacky at all, same or better grip as DNA rubbers. Quite a dull feeling, it isn't bouncy like Rakza 7 soft. Speed is slightly slow, but you can excellerate pretty well after the third ball. It doesn't bottom out as fast as most 42d rubbers, it has slightly more support during blocking. Counters aren't good on backhand, it just isn't hard enough. It gives a good balance between offensive and blocks. Openups are very good, not super powerfull but enough to make the opponent block out. Tensor grip like rubber, that has nice spin for amateurs. For me not very suitable for forehand, as it is far to unstable. Backhand i found best use in flips and blocking fast topspins. Speed: 7 Spin: 8 Control: 9 (subjective)
