Very interesting and lightweight rubber for European Players. My red versions in 1,8 mm & 2 mm weighs 52 g, the 2,2 mm 56 g . The black versions in 1,8 mm, 2 mm and 2,2 weighs each 52 g !!! :-o - All weights are uncut inclusiv protection film. (film is between 1 and 2 g.) This wonderful rubber generates enough spin, has enough speed and the control is very good. To return the opposing service is very easy possible. The soft sponge (approximately at 38 degrees) and the medium hard top sheet produces a medium-high throw angle. All in all, the Red Dragon is a slightly faster allround rubber - In my opinion, this rubber is quite comparable to the 61 Second Lightning DS non tacky, which has less spin and control.

I didn't quite know what to expect from this rubber. I've played quite a while with LKT Rapid Sound / Speed, and tried LKT Pro XP on a friend's bat once. This one is a bit different. First, the mousse is red and porous, quite different from the previous rubbers. It's quite firm, firmer than Rapid Sound or Pro XP "classic", closer from the Rapid Speed (but again, different kinds of rubber, traditionnal for the Rapid Speed, porous for this one). It remains quite lightweight, weight is same than Rapid Sound in same thickness (50g for a 1.8mm sheet). I've been using it on my RPB backhand, and so far, it feels quite good. Pretty grippy, so even though spin is not that high, it's feeling quite easy to pick up the ball on controlled topspins. As the rubber is firm, you do not lack power as you sometimes do with softer rubbers : it's not rocket-fast, but it's pretty decent, I'd say around OFF-. I'd say it's in between the Rapid Sound for the medium-high throw angle and feeling, and Rapid Speed for the firmer rubber and therefore a bit more power available (but less "direct" and less spinny than Rapid Speed). However, it's still an OFF- rubber, do not expect high speed winning shots away from the table, you'll be lacking some speed there. Anyway, looks like a good controlled-offensive rubber to me. I'll keep this updated after I've played a bit more with it.
