61 Second Lightning DS (Non-tacky)
Review of 61 Second Lightning DS (Non-tacky)This rubber is in my opinion not as slow as in the overall rating !!!! (- ... the 36 as well as the 38° degree version!)
It is clearly one of the fastest Chinese rubber i have ever played. (... and I played a lot of!)
In my opinion, it´s a fast allround rubber with good control, medium spin and a medium low (at 38°) and a medium (at 36°) throw angle.
The ball placement after service is easy, the specified sponge hardnesses from 36 or 38 degree are probably about 2 degrees higher. The medium hard top sheet and also the sponges are very clean processed (therefore good to cut). In addition, the rubbers have a good durability. The weights of my 38 degree versions lies between 50 - 55 g. uncut incl. protectiv film for 1,8 - 2,2 mm. ( cutted on my blade, 158 x 150 mm, between 36 and 40 g.)
The version with 36 degree sponge has more dynamic (catapult), a , medium high throw angle and a better control, than the 38 dregree version. The weight of my 1,8 mm version in red is (uncut with film) 58 g and 36 g on my blade. My red 2 mm rubber had 72 g in original packaging, 55 g inclusive protection film and 35 g cutted. My black 2,2 mm version weighed 72 g packed up, 56 g incl. film and 40 g cutted. ( – ... on my OFF blade, 158 x 150 mm )
I feel the new 36 degree sponge version as an upgrade of the 38 degree version and consider it an excellent backhand rubber.

61 Second Eagle
Review of 61 Second EagleThis rubber is in my opinion not as slow as in the overall rating !!!!
It´s one of the softest and lightest rubber from china !!! Super controlled, very spinny and slightly tacky. Specially the ball acceptance and placement, after the service, is very easy!
The sponge hardness should be realistic according to chinese scale, but I think, each rubber, around 2 degree more at the international scale (- the top rubber is medium soft).
This wonderful rubber provides enough speed for my backhand (by 2 mm !!!), together with an offensive blade (by a weight of 40 g on my Timo Boll ALC)
- ... this time the rubber weighs 56 g (uncut with the protective foil) and 39 g on my blade !!!
Even though the sponge can be cut sometimes badly, this rubber is nevertheless very good.
What I also like particularly, is that this rubber is available in three sponge hardness (36/38 & 40 degree).
This allows every player to find the right partner for his blade !!!!
Give me 1,8 mm too and everything would be perfect !!!
- here is an additional recommendation !!!
To clean the rubber I recommend isopropanol alcohol with about 66 ° percent and for the top rubber a non sticky protective film. ( ... long live, ... - rock´n roll !) ;-P

61 Second Kangaroo
Review of 61 Second KangarooThe 61 second kangaroo rubber is an average allround rubber. My version with 38 ° hardness sponge is more in the range between 40 to 42 degrees and the slightly sticky top rubber is quite taut and firm! The weight is uncut, at 1.5 mm thickness, in the range of 50 to 53 grams.
All in all, I feel this rubber as irrelevant, because there are many similar but better rubbers in the same price segment !!! (- 61 Sec. Lightning DS non tacky or PRO, KTL XP Red Dragon and .... maybe my favorite Eagle ;-))

61 Second Lightning DSÂ PRO
Review of 61 Second Lightning DSÂ PROAttention, the correct name of this rubber must be 61 Second Lightning DS Pro - blue sponge!!!!
... and this rubber is now to buy in 3 sponge hardnesses !!!! ( - with 35, 37 and 39 ° degree sponge)
At first I ordered the version with 37 degree sponge. – ... in my opinion around 40° at int. level !
It´s surface is high quality. Top sheet and also the sponge are very clean processed.
The top sheet seems to be identical to the Lightning DS "non tacky", but the DS Pro version is a bit tacky !!!! (- ????).
Control, spin and ball placement are better as by the normal DS "n. t." but it´s speed is a bit slower.
My 1.5 mm rubber weighed 46 g and my 2 mm, 56 g uncut. ( - not as light as the Lightning DS "n. t." with 49 g by 2 mm )
On my OFF blade, 158 x 150 mm, they ultimately weigh 33 and 39 g !!!
Conclusion: If YOU prefer speed, take the Lightning DS "non tacky" !!!
If you prefer more spin, take the Pro or the Eagle. Both has a middle throw angle, which is a bit higher as by the DS "non tacky" version !
- In addition, the Eagle is the speed between the DS pro and the "non tacky" !!!!
After long tests of all three rubbers, I now prefer the Eagle. My playing style is Off and I use him in 2 mm with 38 degrees on BH (...on a Btfly. Timo Boll ALC blade).
At next, I´ve ordered the 35 degree sponge version in 2 mm. ( - because I had hoped for something more catapult !!! )
... result next!

Andro Rasant Beat
Review of Andro Rasant BeatI absolutely can not understand, why this rubber is given with so much spin ability. - ...but I suspect, the overall rating in this regard is out of date !
These days, there are many rubbers on the market, that produce significantly more spin, but that does not change anything at the good quality of this rubber.
The sponge of the rubber is indicated with 40 degrees. However, I wonder if this is correct.
For years I have been played the Joola Energy X-Soft / Energy 330 (with 33 ° sponge) and he has only been slightly softer!
The top sheet of the Beat is reallly very soft and generates acceptable spin.
- ... but not as much, as the rating in the scale suggests.
The weight for my rubbers is each 56 g uncut !!! (black, 1.9 mm and red 1.7 mm) On my blade (158 x 150 mm) 40 g .
Conclusion: Very good control, enough speed und Rotation for each beginner or allrounder !!!!!!

Andro Hexer Grip SFX
Review of Andro Hexer Grip SFXFinally I found IT !!!! ... THE Spin monster with outstanding control !!! ( - weight, "extra light" selected, black, 1,7 mm, packed 90 g and 58 g uncut.)
After a longer test phase (4 months) with various rubbers, on various woods (Carbon, ALC, Super ZLC), I can finally finish my odyssey !!! In recent years, I have played no rubber, that has produced so much rotation. (- and there was even a Tenergy 05 FX among others !!!) Due to the introduction of the ABS ball, i was looking for a new forehand rubber, that gives the ABS ball the rotation I was used to. So far I played mostly rubbers with a sponge hardness of max. 42.5 degrees around 2 mm thickness. By the way, I've opted for a harder, stiffer and faster blade. (Jun Mizutani Super ZLC replica). In combination with the HEXER Grip SFX (which has only a 40 ° hard sponge and a super soft upper rubber), with these harder blade, I now have a similar wonderful game feeling as before !!! (- I previously played a Timo Boll ALC with the Joola Rhyzm-Tech in 2 mm.)
Conclusion: I play this rubber with 1.7 mm thickness now for two weeks on the said Super ZLC blade and I'm simply thrilled !!!! I can only recommend to anyone to try this rubber !!!!!!!! THANK YOU Andro.
ADDENDUM: This new SFX version with its 40 ° hard sponge plays amazingly direct and pleasant and undoubtedly suitable for the backhand as well as the forehand. Whether in active or passive game, every game situation (including service) can be mastered with great certainty. Yesterday while training with this wonderful new rubber, I had to be very surprised. My opponent could´nt reciprocate my service.
When I played the old Hexer Grip (which is much harder, ... but SLOWER !!!) on a Sanwei King Kong 2 (Carbonblade), almost all my services came back !!!!!
P.S. I had mentioned in my DHS Gold Arc 5 Soft review which rubbers I have tested in detail last time.
- unfortunately, I have not come to a detailed assessment of each rubber, but soon ... !!! ;-)

Andro Hexer Powergrip SFX
Review of Andro Hexer Powergrip SFXthe current overall rating of this rubber is almost ridiculous. The Powergrip SFX can be found at the same spin level as the Grip SFX and beyond that both rubbers are also significantly faster than specified !!!!!!
... Spin monster with outstanding control !!!!!!!
- at first, I fell in love with the Grip SFX ;-),
... but now I fell unfaithful, because of the harder Powergrip SFX. ;-P
The weight of this harder version in black, with 1,7 mm sponge, is ("extra light" selected) 94 g packed and 61 g uncut ! ( - normally he´s round about 5 g heavier !!!)
After a longer test phase (4 months) with various rubbers, on various woods (Carbon, ALC, Super ZLC), I can finally finish my odyssey !!! In recent years, I have played no rubber, that has produced so much rotation. (- and there was even a Tenergy 05 among others !!!) Due to the introduction of the ABS ball, i was looking for a new forehand rubber, that gives the ABS ball the rotation I was used to. Because rubbers with a sponge hardness of 45 degrees or more obviously do not match my playful level, my choice fell too of a more offensive, harder blade !!!
With this harder blade, I now have a similar wonderful game feeling as before !!! (- Btfl. Timo Boll ALC with the Joola Rhyzm-Tech in 2 mm.)
Conclusion: Now (since one month) I prefer the harder Powergrip SFX (with 1.7 mm thickness) on a Zhang Jike Super ZLC replica (which is a bit softer as my Mizutani Replica) and therefore better harmonizing with the Zhang Jike replica !!!!
In my opinion, the speed by the Powergrip SFX is a little bit higher as by the Grip SFX. The spin is equally outstanding, as well as the control !!!
I can only recommend to anyone to try these both new Hexer SFX rubbers.
THANK YOU Andro.
ADDENDUM: Both rubbers are undoubtedly suitable for the backhand as well as the forehand. Whether in active or passive game, every game situation (including service) can be mastered with great certainty. INSANITY !!!!!

DHS Gold Arc 5
Review of DHS Gold Arc 5Attention: This rubber is available with 42,5 and 47,5 degree sponge !!!!!!!
After I had picked out the best offer, I immediately ordered this rubber (in medium thickness, with 42.5 degree sponge) for 22 € at Ali - Express !!! - ... and I received it after 15 days !!!!
I asked for low weight, so I got a rubber with 62 g (uncut). - ... it weighs cut, on my Timo Boll ALC blade (156 x 150 mm), 43 g !!! - WOW, ... that´s light for a rubber with 42,5° and 2 mm.
The rubber is well made and the sponge glued together with a tight/firm upper rubber. This (not sticky) rubber is not the fastest, but has very good spin characteristics, not far away to the limit of the possible. Never before has it been so easy to me, to smash with a rubber !!! On top of that it is very controlled.
Ultimately I can only recommend this rubber, whereby I would recommend each OFF player this rubber in maximum thickness !!! (- ... or optionally with 45° sponge hardness.)
Last week i got my second rubber!!! ... now with max sponge. - again for 22 euro !!!!
The weight was uncut 65 g and cut on my Boll ALC 45 g. Now i have the speed i want !!!!!
- In the last weeks, I have tested the following (comparable) rubbers. - here's my list, ... fastest rubber first !!! ( ... and in parenthesis the weight on my blade. )
1. Andro Rasanter R 42 in 2 mm (45 g), 2. Butterfly Rozena in 1.9 mm (43 g) and Joola Rhyzm-Tech in 2 mm (45 g), 3. Andro Bluefire M2 in 2 mm (45 g) and 4. the DHS Gold ARC 5 with 42,5 ° in 2 mm (43 g).
The Rasanter R42, Joola Rhyzm-Tech and the Gold ARC 5 produce almost the same (most) spin. The Butterfly Rozena has a little less spin, is the hardest rubber here and not so easy to control like the others !!!
The Bluefire is the absolute all-rounder here and is just ahead of the Rythm-Tech and the Gold ARC 5 !!!!
CONCLUSION: Considering the price, ...
- it can give only ONE !!!!!! ;-))

Friendship/729 Sky Wing
Review of Friendship/729 Sky Wing(Even if the rubber occasionally lacks the ITTF logo, ...) it immediately surprises with its flawless, slightly sticky, surface.
The bright, yellow sponge, which is specified by the manufacturer with 40 ° degrees, feels softer when playing ( - maybe 38 °), is of good quality and therefore easy to cut. The weight of the rubber, cut on my blade (150 x 158 mm), is 38 to 40 g.
In combination with a not too hard blade, this rubber has a good control, sufficient speed and spin. (... and a medium throw angle!)
If you are looking for a super cheap allround rubber for beginners, or if you are also an economical "advanced" one, you are absolutely right here.
This is the only viable allround rubber (... for the international market !!!), which you can buy in pairs for 11 € (at E Bay) !!!!
- Absolutely unbeatable.
(Comparable with this rubber would be only the Focus 3 Snipe, which is a little softer (or more elastic), faster and more spidery but also more than twice as expensive.)

Gewo Hype XT Pro 40.0
Review of Gewo Hype XT Pro 40.0Through a test in a table tennis block, I became aware of this rubber !
After playing this rubber with 1.9 mm sponge thickness at a retailer, I bought it with 1.7 mm !!! ( - ... because 1,9 mm was too fast on my DHS Ma Long 5 replica.)
In addition, I had considered this rubber, because it should have a very low weight, which unfortunately should not be confirmed !!!
It ultimately weighed 59 g uncut and 44 g cutted on my blade with 160 x 152 mm. (- Okay :-/ ... that´s light, but not very light.)
Unfortunately, my blade does not harmonize with the rubber in 1.7 mm thickness. The feeling was ultimately too direct and not dynamic enough.
I also tested this rubber on various other blades and as softer the blade, the feeling where better !!!
- For a rubber with 40 ° sponge, this rubber is quite exceptional.
But in the end, I can say that this rubber is really a very good rubber, which makes combined with the right blade, a lot of fun !!!
Here for you the link for the blog in which this rubber has been tested and in my opinion was rated absolutely truthful.

JOOLA Rhyzm Tech
Review of JOOLA Rhyzm TechI play the rhyzm-tech now for 5 months (on a Timo Boll ALC in 2 mm, black, cut 47 g) What surprises me in retrospect, is that this rubber has been touted as very fast, but, however, it is more particularly spinny.
- no "not sticky" rubber ever before, gave my service so much rotation and also it was never easier for me to return service passively !!!
In addition, I would call him forgiving and very save.
Thanks to the Rhyzm-Tech, my game has become more secure (... and more success) !!!!!!!! Cool :-D
P.S.: I've been using the rubber for 5 months now and have trained on average 2 times a week.
- Good durability !!! ... but now I think, I'll buy a new one. ;-)

KTL (LKT) Pro XP Red Dragon
Review of KTL (LKT) Pro XP Red DragonVery interesting and lightweight rubber for European Players.
My red versions in 1,8 mm & 2 mm weighs 52 g, the 2,2 mm 56 g .
The black versions in 1,8 mm, 2 mm and 2,2 weighs each 52 g !!! :-o
- All weights are uncut inclusiv protection film. (film is between 1 and 2 g.)
This wonderful rubber generates enough spin, has enough speed and the control is very good. To return the opposing service is very easy possible. The soft sponge (approximately at 38 degrees) and the medium hard top sheet produces a medium-high throw angle.
All in all, the Red Dragon is a slightly faster allround rubber
- In my opinion, this rubber is quite comparable to the 61 Second Lightning DS non tacky, which has less spin and control.

KTL (LKT) Pro XT Green Dragon
Review of KTL (LKT) Pro XT Green DragonWhen ordering, I asked for an extra light rubber, so I got one with a weight of 55 g uncut (with protective film). On my blade it weighs 39 g (158 x 150 mm).
The slightly green sponge of the XT green dragon is harder than that of the conventional red dragon. He is also much more dynamic and plays very well on faster, softer blades.
Finally, I can recommend this rubber as a good BH rubber !!! ( - ... even if I still prefer the XP red-dragon, because he is a bit faster, generates a little more spin and thus interesting for the FH. )

Palio CJ8000 Light and Fast
Review of Palio CJ8000 Light and FastThis sticky rubber is neither light nor fast, but it has a good control and generates enough spin.
His speed probably may be too low for most players. In my opinion, the hardness is in the range of 40 and 42 degree at int. scale !!! (- official 38 – 41°)
The weight, complete with package, for my red rubber in max thickness, was 85 g. Uncut with protection film, it weighs 62 g and on my blade 150 x 158 mm at last 44 g.
For this rubber I would recommend medium and soft blades with much speed. (- ... if you´re not a defender!)
- you can buy this rubber for an unbeatable price (around 7 - 8 €) on Ali-Express !!!!

Palio CJ8000 36-38°
Review of Palio CJ8000 36-38°I compared this rubber with my prefered backhand rubber, 61 Second Eagle in 2 mm thickness (38 degree sponge version). ( - I play him on a Btfl. Timo Boll ALC blade!)
The Palio (in black, max. thickness, weighs uncut, with film, 62 g) has about the same Ground speed & sponge hardness as the Eagle and is also in the middle speed range. However, the catapult is slightly higher, which gives the rubber more gears. In addition, the upper rubber of the Palio also produces slightly more spin than the Eagle's. The throw angle is minimally lower, but still medium high!
Conclusion: For beginners or as a backhand rubber, the Palio is really an easy to control, recommendable rubber- ( - ... for an unbeatable dumping prices !!!!!)

Palio CJ8000 38-41°
Review of Palio CJ8000 38-41°Really good rubber for beginners or defender. - ... with an unbeatable price around 6 € at Ali-Express !!!!!
Only in max thickness but not very fast, therefore very well controlled and spinny. ( - ... a little bit tacky ! )
The hardness of the sponge should be approximately in the range 40 - 42 degrees (international Level).
For these rubber I would recommend medium and soft blades with much speed. (- ... if you´re not a defender!)

Sanwei Taiji Plus
Review of Sanwei Taiji PlusThis is probably the softest (- ... and slowest ???), slightly tacky rubber you can buy in China.
My rubber weighed, cut on my Off blade, 159 x 152 mm, 45 g.
- ... I ordered low weighed rubber !
(I´m a player from an under class, but....)
Unfortunately, I think it is simply too slow. Only on very fast blades, you can consider this rubber as backhand covering! The spin is mediocre, the control acceptable.
At least it can be excellently processed with both types of glue. - ... and cut !!!
It is more controlled when using solvent-free glue !!!

Three Sword Red Dragon
Review of Three Sword Red DragonThis rubber is already available in a new, improved version. (red cover with the silhouette of a dragon) .- But I'll come back to that later.
Based on my experience with the newer version of this rubber, I decided this time for the red sponge with red top rubber! ... unfortunately I am disappointed because this rubber is much slower and also has much less spin. The control is good and the rubber, with a sponge around 40° degree, weighs 42 grams on my blade (58 g uncut with film)! The throw angle is rather low (on my SZLC blade) and the only positive aspect is, that this (older) rubber is less sensitive to the opponent's spin. Therefore it is recommended especially for beginners !!!
The new version is available with two different sponges. One version with 36 degrees black sponge, the other with 37 degrees red sponge. For me clearly the black sponge with the red top rubber is the best choice!
I am still satisfied with this really good new version. The rotation is much higher than the old version and the control is outstanding!!! The speed is high. (Speed: 9, Spin: 8, Control: 9.5, Gears: yes ;-), Durability: very good)
From my point of view, the seller information about the weight and sponge hardness seems to be realistic !!! (Weight on my blade, 38 to 40 g.)
- only passive setbacks after the opponent's serve are difficult. ... it´s easier to attack them!!! :-D
