Donic Cayman
|

Review of Donic CaymanVery similar to Dr. N Firewall Plus, slightly smallerhead, not quite so thick, slightly faster with the same rubbers. Rather light thick balsa blade, makes sense mostly with pips. With very slow long pips in OX, the blocks go fast, low, and the spin is well reversed. Likely hard to loop from the FH side - counters and blocks are fine but if you are late to the ball and it starts descending and you want to topspin it over the net, you'll likely have a hard time - low dwell time, bouncy balsa. Tried only classical (non-tensioned) Short Pips on the FH; with it control on pushes and serve return is OK, and smahes are good. Mar 19, 2019

JOOLA Eagle Fast

Review of JOOLA Eagle FastThick. Have not used its rubber on other blades, socan't compare well its speed or control, except for: rather flimsy with direct hits or blocking direct hits, the "how did the ball go that way?" feeling came to me about one in three such shots. Now I learned to use more topspin and get fewer of such weird shots; still the sweet spot is rather small and instead of perfecting my technique I took the shortcut (not having enough time) of nano-technology or carbon-reinforced blades. Stiga Allround NCT

Review of Stiga Allround NCTMade in Sweden.My favorite blade with inverted rubbers: light, not too fast for me, and with a large sweet spot. Given the good price, I recommend this as the first blade (after moving up from premade raquets) for all but the very strong, who will likely prefer something heavier. I don't feel vibrations, and prefer it this way. Jun 21, 2015

Review of Stiga Defensive NCTMade in Sweden.My first defensive blade, light, large, with a large sweet spot, and slow enough for a me to use Tibhar Grass DTech in OX. I did the mistake however of not getting the most spiny hard rubber for the other side. I don't feel vibrations, and prefer it this way. Jun 21, 2015

Stiga Allround Classic Carbon

Review of Stiga Allround Classic CarbonMade in Sweden. My current blade with inverted rubbers:not too fast for me, and with a large sweet spot. I asked for a light one, and got a 73g. Slightly thinner (and therefore more flexible), but otherwise very similar to my first favorite, Allround NCT. I feel some vibrations, which is fine with me - definetelly not too much. Review of Stiga Allround Classic WRBCan be as light as 70g, and does everything you need.Not too fast for me, and quite flexible. Perfect for learning strokes, going well with all the rubbers I tried so far (light, medium-soft tensors, and classical rubbers). Made in Sweden. Feb 18, 2018

Yinhe T-11+
|
||||||||||||
Review of Yinhe T-11+I use this blade for hitting with friends, and it became my favoritefor this activity (for points, I use long pips). I use soft rubbers. Thick and with a large sweet spot; blocks and counterhits are very good. I have not tried enough pushes/return serve and don't have correct loops. This blade fits my ailing joints very well with its light weight and thick handle. I don't feel vibrations, and prefer it this way. Jun 21, 2015
