Butterfly Timo Boll ZLC
Review of Butterfly Timo Boll ZLCThis blade is really impressive. What really stands out is how much speed you get while maintaining a high degree of flex. Many blades sacrifice flex/feeling for speed, but not with this blade.Speed is a little faster than VIS, but surprisingly has more flex and better feeling than VIS and the other BTY ALC blades. Maybe slightly slower than HL5, but slightly flexier than HL5. Feb 10, 2022

Dawei Genote Bio X50
Review of Dawei Genote Bio X50Blade is supposed to be a clone of the Kreanga Carbon, with inner Uniaxial carbon. This blade has a little of everything, and it just is pretty great. Its very thin, so it has a lot of vibration and feedback and flex. Also, the handle is small and very comfortable. You can make small adjustments to your grip, rotating your grip for each specific shot. Finally the surface is treated with "microcarbon", I dunno what it really does but at least it makes it easy to remove rubbers. Speed is fairly good, but slower than VIS level. It is quite flexy, so its easy to loop and generate spin. It's rated as OFF, but is definitely on the lower range of OFF, and close to OFF-Its kind of a poor man's Harimoto ALC. Lemuria 37131 (Lin Yun Ju Super ZLC)

Review of Lemuria 37131 (Lin Yun Ju Super ZLC)I have 2 Lemuria blades, the LJY clone and the ZJK clone. The LJY costs a little more and overall it looks like the better blade. The wood quality looks a little better, and the carbon layers looks to be higher quality. But when I test both blades with the same rubber, I prefer the ZJK clone. LJY clone feels snappier and crisper. There is less dwell time, and the blade feels slower than the ZJK also. The throw angle of the LJY feels a little low to me, and some of my shots go into the net. Sep 10, 2022

Lemuria Harimoto Tomokazu Inner ZLC
Review of Lemuria Harimoto Tomokazu Inner ZLCI have the Stuor version of this blade, but i think its the same as Lemuria.Surface is limba and gives a very soft feeling. Feels softer than dhs limba. If you are not used to this feeling, some people might call it mushy. But the soft limba gives the blade a good amount of dwell time. Zlc layer gives a springy kick to your loops and shots. Especially on the BH, I could feel extra kick on my hits and loops. I feel my backhand improves a lot with this blade. It has a quite springy and elastic feel. I feel that on the backhand it is faster than DHS inner blades. On the forehand, the blade feels a bit too soft to me. DHS blades feel more solid and stable. Overall, great speed and also good dwell time. Aug 14, 2022

Lemuria ZLC (Z. JK.)
Review of Lemuria ZLC (Z. JK.)Speed is fast. I tested this blade with my slowest rubber, but it was still quite fast. But blade is not so hard and stiff that it's uncomfortable. It still feels within the range of suitable blade. It's a little harder and stiffer, but not unreasonably hard and stiff. Just by a tiny bit. Compared to my V14 Pro, the throw angle is similar. But the blade is springier and faster. For $32, this feels like a home run. There is a great punch and speed on BH to BH exchanges. When you want to accelerate, there is extra kick and power. Sanwei CC

Review of Sanwei CCFirst, I have to disagree with GeralDINO and other reviewers on the hardness. This blade is QUITE SOFT. When I first played with it, I thought it really feels very mushy, but overtime you get more used to it. The outer layers are limba, which explains the softness. It is reasonably stiff though, but still a lot of flex to generate spin. The speed is quite high, I think faster than VIS. Some of my shots were flying over the table at first. Because of the high speed, I do find it somewhat hard to control. Because of the inner carbon, the speed tends to show up on bigger loop-drives. Overall for $12, you really can't complain. Its probably the best cost-performance blade in the world. Very fast but still with decent flex/spin and quite soft. Feb 27, 2022

Sanwei 75 ALC
Review of Sanwei 75 ALCExcellent clone of Viscaria. Classic Koto-ALC composition. Beautifully constructed and finished. Mine was just 85g, very light and maneuverable.Has excellent overall characteristics. Good speed, great control, good flex for a carbon blade. The dwell time and feeling is very similar to Viscaria. Very good clone here. V14 Pro is faster than 75, but 75 is closer to Viscaria. For this price, there really is nothing to be complained about. Mar 30, 2022

Sanwei F3 Pro
Review of Sanwei F3 ProTo me, the current 9.2 speed rating is way too high. This blade is not really a speed demon. It is a soft, flexy, control oriented blade. It has a very woody feeling, not like a carbon blade. By no means is it slow, but it's just not super fast.Compared to Viscaria type blade, this blade is way softer and flexier and has more dwell time. It is even flexier than Long 5. It is really designed for looping and spinning. Mar 29, 2023

Stiga Offensive Classic (OC)

Review of Stiga Offensive Classic (OC)This is a great and versatile blade, at relatively low price! Speed would be Off- and control is excellent. The blade has a great handle that is very comfortable. The blade is also very thin, that produces fantastic feedback and comfortable vibration. This feeling the blade gives you allows you to judge your swings. One can have more confidence to take bigger swings on the ball because you can feel what you're doing right. For the player who likes to have a very versatile offensive game with power loops, slow loops, high arc loops, smashes, flips, counter-loop, I'd say this is truly a wonderful blade.Mar 25, 2008

Stiga Offensive CR
Review of Stiga Offensive CRGood blade for beginners, but probably too slow for good players in the plastic ball era. Blade is a bit slow, but is very flexible. You can really feel the dwell time.If you want high feeling, higher spin and dwell, then this blade works for you. Feb 10, 2022

Stuor Hurricane Long 5
Review of Stuor Hurricane Long 5This blade has fairly soft feeling, with a fairly high degree of flex. The good thing is that it has a lot of dwell time, and the blade holds the ball for a long time. However for me, it almost has too much flex. It seems to lack a bit of punch on shots. When you hit a shot, there seems to be a slight lagginess or sluggishness to the shots. Speed is fine, but slightly slower than what I'm used to. I feel like this blade would be good for players developing their strokes. Compared to my other blades, it seems to lack a bit of the kick or catapult. Feb 14, 2023

Stuor FZD ALC
Review of Stuor FZD ALCI compared Stuor's FZD ALC against a Viscaria with the same rubbers. The Stuor blade has very nice quality wood, and the overall construction looks very good for the price. No issues with splintering at all. The blade is quite fast and crisp, and generally captures the Koto wood feeling. However the blade is thicker than the original Viscaria. So the blade does feel stiffer. Some people may not like this. Overall a pretty decent clone, it has good speed and good construction and good quality, but the thickness means it lacks dwell time and safety. May 01, 2023

Stuor Harimoto S-ZLC Clone
Review of Stuor Harimoto S-ZLC CloneMy favorite blade currently. It has more power and kick than inner-alc blades like HL5 or Fang Bo Carbon. It also has a good bit of flex and softness. It is not a overly stiff and uncomfortable blade.Handle feels comfortable. No splintering issues for me. So it has great power and speed from the ZLC, it also has some decent flex from being inner fibre Limba blade. It's a bit of the best of both worlds. May 01, 2023

Sword Carbon Thunderbolt SS8000
Review of Sword Carbon Thunderbolt SS8000Slightly thicker blade. Very thick core wood, with inner carbon, and very thin outer wood layers. Its fairly stiff and gives good speed, but also has a large sweetspot and very dampened feel. The dampened feel feels very comfortable and gives a great sense of stability. Everything about the blade feels very stable. Biggest drawback is that the handle is large, and hard to maneuver in your hand.Feb 28, 2022

Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive
Review of Yasaka Ma Lin Extra OffensiveAll around excellent blade. Maybe not quite as fast as a VIS, on the lower range of OFF blades. But it also gives you a much flexier and better feel. When you wind up your stroke, it still gives you all the speed you need, and you dont really feel lack of power. Produces a high pitch smack when you hit hard.I think its a very spinny blade, probably good for spin-oriented offensive players. Dwell time feels quite long compared to carbon blades. Overall very balanced blade and feels very nice in hand. Feb 12, 2022

Yasaka Atletico Power
Review of Yasaka Atletico PowerI feel like the carbon layer is too close to the outside despite being a innerforce style blade. The speed is quite fast, and it is very good for blocking. The dwell time is lower than other blades like HL5. In fact, it plays more similar to HL5X.Nov 14, 2023

Yinhe 896
Review of Yinhe 896For a low price, this is a very impressive blade. I definitely recommend using tacky rubber on this blade, because the pushing game will be very difficult with more springy rubber. Pushing with Japanese rubber will be frustrating as it will create lots of long and high balls. Smashing is fine, but the loop is really the best thing about this rubber. There is lots of speed and spin when looping, especially from midrange. Very easy to create high-arc loops also. Flips are also very good.Mar 03, 2022

Yinhe Venus V-14 PRO
Review of Yinhe Venus V-14 PROA very good clone of Butterfly ALC blades. Build quality if excellent and the wood layers look beautiful. Balanced feel in hand. Probably best ALC clone for the price.Excellent balance of high speed with good control. However, as with the BTY ALC blades, not too much flex. Koto surface gives it a solid and crisp feeling. Supposedly favors backhand oriented style. Mar 11, 2022
