UPDATE (from 05/21): I finally had the opportunity to compare this Lemuria replica with the original Butterfly blade. (- albeit unfortunately only without rubbers!) What is immediately noticeable is the stronger grip on the original and its flawless workmanship. In addition, the original has the softer ball attack and is slightly faster. - ... but it doesn't play as directly as the Lemuria replica. CONCLUSION: give the replica a chance !!!! ;-P
This replica of the "Butterfly Lin Yun Ju SZLC" was recommended to me by three dealer on AliExpress. I asked for their hardest and stiffest blade. Facts: structure, KOTO + "GOLD" ZLC + AYOUS + KIRI + AYOUS + "GOLD" ZLC + KOTO !!! (... "Gold" is probably "Super" ZLC) The head size is 156 x 150 mm.
My "extra light" selected blade with FL handle weighs (without any lenses) 85 g. - that is probably the reason why my grip is a bit thin !!! The Butterfly Original shall be best suited for playing at the table or in the middle distance. THAT apparently also applies to this blade. However, it also has enough power to ensure a game far behind the table. I would describe the playfeel with this very stiff blade as extremely hard and direct. - the sound is best described as "crisp"! By using thin, soft rubbers (Andro: VH 1.7 mm Powergrip SFX, BH 1.8 mm Powersponge) you almost have the feeling, that hard-hit balls penetrate the rubber and burst on the wood. Except from very hard hits, after which my balls flies far over the table, is the control awesome. - with these hard hits, I had the feeling that the blade was igniting a turbo !!! Amazing.
If I could, I would give 9,1 points for stiffness and hardness. - ... and add 0,2 points for the TURBO!!! I own different ZLC blades, but this one is definitely the hardest. (- ... before my Btfy. Z. JK. fake or my Stuor Nobilis!!!) Conclusion: This replica is really "Hard Core", perfect for an aggressive offensive game. ... with an outstanding price-performance ratio. - try it!!! ;-P)
I compared it with the ZJK
Rubbers: victas v01, andro Hexer duro
I played the ZJK a long time and felt very well. Hard, fast, direct...(middle ply is very thick) But I missed the throw angle sometime in the opening balls. So I bought the lyj for 50€...and felt in love!!!
The feeling is better than the ZJK,because the middle ply ist thinner.
Sumup: higher throw angle, more control in blocks, more dweeltime: more spin&more feeling, speed is the same like zjk, in difficult situation this blade is 10x more controllable than the zjk... on my backhand I felt the good feeling at most. You can flip almost everything and I had this "CAN'T MISS FEELING"
I never thought there is a nice blade on the market.
Now it is my number 1 blade and my favorite one!
If you are a attacker, train a lot than it is my permission for you! Go and got it!
I have 2 Lemuria blades, the LJY clone and the ZJK clone. The LJY costs a little more and overall it looks like the better blade. The wood quality looks a little better, and the carbon layers looks to be higher quality.
But when I test both blades with the same rubber, I prefer the ZJK clone. LJY clone feels snappier and crisper. There is less dwell time, and the blade feels slower than the ZJK also. The throw angle of the LJY feels a little low to me, and some of my shots go into the net.
