- SANWEI 23th Year Anniversary version - King Kong 2.
- Updated version of King Kong 1. It is handmaded by premium material, and used cypress wood as racket handle, which offers you very comfortable holding feel even after long-time play. The constructure is made by classic 5 ply wood + 2 LD carbon. LD carbon is the carbon matrial with better extensibility, which is produced by Sanwei. It gives you great speed without losing too much control.
- The whole blade is with nice design, fine finish, very beautiful.

I never imagined that cypress is such an amazing and dynamic wood for blades. Very good and fun to play with blade. Go for it - you won’t be disappointed. Some blades spin, some defend, some control - this blade is fun. Hard blade but dynamic and feeling hard not dead hard. Stiff blade. Speed is amazing yet it is very controllable. Not that bouncy at all. Blocking is very good. Smashing is the best. I loved it with JOOLA Rhyzm acc best. Best backhand shots I ever made. Smashing through the low or under spin balls on the table is very easy. Something about cypress feeling as well.

Attention: Currently you can get this wonderful blade (for 2 days!!!) at the bargain price of 17.60 € (14.40 dollars) on AliExpress !!! - aliexpress.com/item/4000388667629.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.ebd33c00EAkazW&mp=1 Updated !!! I ordered this blade (o5/2019) as a "Special Edition" with a weight of 84 grams. (- normally it is heavier !!!) The first thing I noticed, is the very powerful cypress grip, for really big hands. ( - ... for me, getting used to !!! ) I have tested this blade (with different rubbers) and must say, it is hard, very fast and needs medium or hard rubbers. (- to provide good/enough control! ) Normally I would think that this blade is made for the Chinese market !!! ( - because Chinese rubbers fit perfectly to this blade, due to their smaller catapult. ) - but what Chinese have such huge hands ??? ;-P I do not like to play with heavy blades and therefore rubber searching is even hard for me. ( - hard rubbers are unfortunately heavier !) Currently I play in my FH with an Andro Hexer Grip with 2 mm thickness and 45 degree sponge. He weighs 49 grams and is not a lightweight !!! ... but it plays great. Unfortunately, I currently do not find the right rubber for my BH, because I now have to pay extra attention to the weight. (... awful ! - i know, you think i am crazy !!! ) CONCLUSION: wonderful fast, hard and stiff blade with good control (... by the right rubbers), especially for good offensive players. ( - in my opinion, the speed in the table is underrated !!! ) - also, I found out, that this blade is surprisingly well balanced even with very heavy rubbers and not too top-heavy seems !!!!

I tried it with 2x Friendship 729 Super FX. It think its very precise combo like sniper accuracy, low throw and fast even with slow super fx. Great vs backspin. It is hard and stiff feel but I really like it. I like its low but high speed deep loops, if you use good placement to (corners) it can be pretty powerful. With this combo i sacrified spin but have a lot of control and speed which transformed in simple fun and consisted game with less unforced errors. really like it. I also used Spectol21 1.8mm on backhand and it is perfect match, ideal speed not slow not too fast.

I bought this Sanwei King Kong 2 blade recently from AliExpress / AliBattleship, because of the cool name (and the cost-effective price). It came in after 2 weeks (to USA), with 91.2g, 1485Hz, 6.75mm thickness. Quality is top notch. The cypress handle is beautiful and fairly hefty, similar to the older Sanwei Fextra blades, and also similar to the HC1S or HC5S. Due to the Limba top ply the blade needs to be varnished, I used WalMart MinWax satin polyurethane coating for it which makes the blade look even more beautiful. This blade is a 5-ply blade with 2 LC carbon, in an internal structure. I think the plies are Limba/Spruce/LC Carbon/Ayous/LC Carbon/Spruce/Limba. The second ply is definitely not Ayous, it has the perpendicular pattern like the Yinhe E3 or the Yinhe Pro-5W. This is a fast blade due to the thickness and the Limba/Spruce plies, and feels harder than ALC carbon blades like the DHS Fang Bo B2X. The Limba top still provides for some dwell time, so top spin works well. I put a tacky Yinhe Jupiter II Medium Sponge 38degrees on the forehand, and a AK47 Soft rubber on the backhand (which makes it too fast, the Yinhe Moon soft would have been better). The racket is then 186.87g (including a Tannius soft grip from Amazon). I am guessing that tensor rubbers like the Nittaku FastArc G1 are too fast for this blade, DHS Hurricane 3 Neo is probably OK. The resulting racket is really nice and I'll play it every once in a while, but for tournaments it's too fast for me, so I stay with the DHS Fang Bo B2X which is also fast (1442Hz) but has a little better control.

I've played it with Battle 3 national and DHS H3Neo, good combination the neo works better with this blade. Pretty fast if hit right. If you are using tacky rubbers, not so fast and it haves many gears. Consistency seems a bit problematic but maybe mine was linked to chinese rubbers. Nice looking blade with nice finish, for this amount of money as usual better than any more expensive euro blades. On the heavy side 90g. Downside is also i dont like sanwei cheap plastic branding , if the brand tag was better quality the whole feel of quality would be 10 times better. At the end i recommend for the money put neo3h on FH and BH!
