The Eagle is a new rubber sponge that is excellent weapon for attack and loop. The super elasticity rubber can bring you a totally different feeling of playing. And its powerful friction is easy to make loops. The outstanding flexible soft sponge can make balls easy to control at short and middle table, so players can accurately show their techniques in games.

Good alternative if you're replacing a japanese or euro rubber. This Chinese rubber doesn't have a dead sponge and is not very tacky. I have it on black 2.2mm at 36°, even at this softest hardness the sponge feels firm but springy. The throw is high an very linear I recommend it for Forehand

The coach of our club recommended me to take a rubber with a thinner (1.8mm) sponge (I had 2.3mm) to learn well the techniques from advanced beginner to intermediate level. I found the 61 second eagle 1.5 mm for 8$ each. 40° red FH and 38° BH. I am quite satisfied. They have a good speed, you can generate fair amount of spin, very good for returning serves. Throw angle is okay. Cons. Not so many gears.

I tested the soft version of the 61Second Eagle, among other setups on a Yinhe CN1S Children's Soft Carbon blade. This is an inexpensive Chinese rubber that could be bought for around $10, and I think it deserves to be judged in that context. The Eagle tries to offer something resembling the character of a European offensive rubber. Its topsheet is relatively firm and grippy, but definitely not tacky in the traditional Chinese sense. The overall speed is modest, perhaps even a little on the slow side, and it does not have the explosive response of a modern high-end tensor. What it does offer is a straightforward, reasonably honest feeling on contact. You get useful feedback from the ball, and the rubber does not hide poor technique behind an excessive catapult effect. That makes it a very good learning rubber. A beginner can practice virtually all the basic strokes with it, including topspin, blocks, pushes and simple attacking shots, without having to fight the equipment. It is not a rubber I would choose for serious competitive play, but that was never the point. For someone just starting table tennis, or playing purely as a hobby, it provided more than enough performance for the money. I would not put it in the same category as some of the big brands' cheapest introductory rubbers. In my experience, many of those offer so little useful feedback or playing quality that they are poor tools for actually learning the sport. The Eagle, despite its tiny price tag, is a proper, usable rubber. There is a difference between cheap equipment and equipment that is simply bad. There is also a practical limitation today: the ITTF approval for the 61Second Eagle (115-006) was listed as expiring on 30 June 2025.

ATTENTION: all 61 second rubbers are NO LONGER on the ITTF list and are therefore no longer allowed in competition !!! Since a friend was looking for 1.5 mm rubbers, I decided to try my luck again after many years of abstinence. ( ... at AliExpress!) Result: The topsheet is still sticky and appears to be of the same quality as before. It also still generates decent rotation! The speed also proved to be identical compared to two older 1.5 mm rubbers. The sponges, however, must have been reworked, as they are no longer as coarse-pored (crumbly!) and are now heavier. At 9 EURO, this rubber is still highly recommended. ... and not just because its three different sponge hardness levels! Addendum: I hope this rubber doesn't disappear from the international approval list anytime soon !!! - REVIEW 2019: this rubber is in my opinion not as slow as in the overall rating !!! ... and one of the softest and lightest rubber from china. (- not real a typical chinese rubber !!!) Super controlled and spinny. (- with catapult, not dead!) The ball acceptance and placement, after the opponents service, is very easy! This rubber is available with 36, 38 and 40 degrees sponge (chin. scale). The top rubber is medium soft and slightly tacky. My rubber with 36 degree sponge and 2,0 mm provides enough speed for my backhand. (... on my Btfy. Timo Boll ALC) My rubber weighs 56 g uncut with protective foil and 39 g on my blade !!! Even though the sponge can be cut sometimes badly, this rubber is nevertheless very good. What I also like particularly, is that this rubber is available in three sponge hardnesses. (- I ordered each with 2 mm and got a maximum weight of 62 g uncut inclusive foil !!!) This allows every player to find the right partner for his blade. Conclusion: This unusual china rubber should best be sold on the international market !!!! Perfect for BH !!! - give me 1,8 mm thickness too and everything would be perfect.
