RXTON I is a professional table tennis rubber from the manufacturer of high quality table tennis equipment LOKI.

Don't let the low price of this rubber lead you to the wrong conclusion about its qualities! For those who prefer rubberss with a sticky surface, the RXTON I will be a real

revelation. The balanced qualities of the rubber will amaze you. The behaviour of RXTON I is something of a hybrid between a typical Japanese soft top sheet rubber and a Chinese sticky one. When

played on spin this rubber can be a real spin machine.

Compared to the RXTON I, this tire has more consistent rebound, more speed and more spin

Now completed! I bought this rubber (first in pink, later in blue) cause of very positive videos/reviews on YouTube. (- which came from China as from Germany) In my opinion, the ratings above in the table are rather understated. - I consider this rubber to be more powerful. This rubbers with white sponges are available in 2 different colors and sponge hardness levels. Facts: pink rubber (official!) 39 degree, 85 g. in orig. pack., 66 g. unc. incl. foil and cut 48 g. Blue rubber: 40 degree, in orig. pack. 87 g., 67 g. unc. incl. foil and cut 49 g. (... both cut to 157 x 150 mm.) First realizations: the blue rubber has more catapult and a higher flight curve than the pink one, but delivers less spin. Based on this knowledge, I measured the blue rubber with my Shore Meter and could only determine 38 degrees. (- which makes sense given the higher catapult!) Conclusion: these rubbers "prefers" a "chinese" technique !!! The pink one even more so than the blue one. The most rotation is generated with the pink rubber, by pulling the topspin forward with strong physical effort. (9.2 my rating!) With the blue rubber, I generate less rotation. (9.0) My speed ??ratings: pink: 8.8 and blue: 8.9. Both have a good Control! Addendum: at the beginning these sticky rubbers could hold the ball for a few seconds.

Used for almost 6 months. Out of the box was very tacky and had lots of speed but after some time started losing its tackiness and speed. Now after 6 months it is almost flat and is difficult to produce spin and vary little catapult effect. Not a very forgiving rubber and you have to be super precise with every shot. Very similar to Loki Rxton 1 and both have almost the same characteristics. If you are to buy then don't use it for too long.

Pink version: Bought for FH, ended up on BH. Does everything ok, especially for the price. Considerable catapult/bounce, compared to Palio CJ 8000 Extreme Speed, more control and suitable for short game and chop than Palio AK Blue. See my AK Blue review for reference. Still spinny for the catapult it has thanks to medium tacky topsheet. Does well in serving. Would have loved to play with this further but the rubber came off the sponge in multiple spots across the bat simultaneously after just 6 months or less of little play. Good rubber for intermediates that can handle the speed and make use of the spin. Quite similar to Palio HK1997 Biotech 36°-38° (and Reactor's Tornado V5) which I will use for short term replacement. My BH rubber. Blue rubber, white sponge. Quite shallow sound, people are always curious because of the colour and sound. Durable. With correct technique (arm/wrist movement), spins like a champ. Looping is good. What you put in, you will get out. Super blocking. Easy to use. Like it a lot! Also very cheap.

Tested: LOKI RXTON 3 blue, with 2.1mm (MAX), hardness: A 40, sponge color: "white / beige" bought for 8 euros. The rubber weighs 70 g (uncut) and 49 g cut and is therefore rather light for a MAX rubber. When top-spinning with full body effort and explosive arm movement, the rubber generates massive spin and impressive speed. Without full body effort, the rubber is rather slow (almost kind of lame) but provides very good and consistent to control. Compared to a 729 Dagon Pro L max, it is inferior in both speed and spin with average arm stroke and normal body effort. The precise control and the repeatability of the rubber are impressive. However, for really dangerous topspins, explosive effort is required, which you have to be able to physically sustain during a longer rally. When countering, the rubber unfortunately sounds like the worst Chinese cracker, it slaps loudly and sounds like plastic. Conclusion: I'm torn, I probably won't buy the rubber again because of the sound and the required stroke speed /effort! The RXTON III blue impresses with speed and spin on the forehand in an "all out" offensive ralley with full commitment. However, the necessary body and arm effort is very strenuous for an averagely fit athlete. The sound is also a "annoying burden". Still I consider the price and the blue color both as GREAT!
