I am a over the table BH dominant player. I played my local spin demon with H3neo and lost so I went to Sanwei Gears and won. I have been trying to find something better than Sanwei Gears for the last 3 years but no luck. The first two sheets were black 42 g cut then red 51g cut then this seasons sheet was 51g with a firmer sponge that plays better than ever. The chopping over the table is an amazing improvement. I can loop as well as any rubber I have tried too. A party trick is the high spin slow close to the net serve that produces a high return. Sanwei Gears improves short game sensitivity on an off T11+ blade. I easily hit passed players with my All+ 729/V6. Not spin sensitive on my BH Gears makes it easy for me to do any shot. I can not find a better BH rubber to give me confidence in my game than Gears. So for me Gears has no opponent for back hand.

when you need control more than speed Gears is good choice with cheap price (bought 20$). used on All+ blade, it was really good for bh.

Good control, a bit lacking in power but not bad. Obviously, lots of gears. Update: Reacts very well to Falco Long Booster. Speed, spin, control are all much improved.

I am absolutely addicted to table tennis however I play primarily for fun. I have found this to be a fantastic back hand rubber with great control and a forgiving nature for my style of play. I can do all the shots with my back hand but I struggle with consistency in match play this rubber really helped me keep matches going and having confidence to hit shots. do to its versatility it would make a Great beginning rubber for both sides. I have played S gears (in red with max sponge) for a few months now on my back hand and as soon as I switched it really seemed to improve my play. It's insensitive to incoming spin and can produce great top spin shots. amazing touch with the short game serve return. When attacking this rubber also gives me a high level of confidence and is effective especially for close to the table play. However if you like playing euro tension rubbers this would not be for you. You would need to really hit it hard starting at mid to long distance and brush loops are on the slow side from all distances. But for a player such as myself who's best back hand shot is a topspin drive this rubber works really well since the gears do kick in more with that shot. Also at first I played it on a slow looping blades (Swedish classic and Donic Waldner all play) on a whim I picked up a Huaruite Clipper a clone of the stiga clipper which is still not fast but has more speed, less flex and is a bit stiffer and that has really improved the the effectiveness when attacking with this rubber without losing the ability to have touch. Do to how its performance would recommend this rubber at a much higher price point at 14 bucks it's a steal.
