Review of Friendship/729 Battle IIWith B2 I can stick the bat on a mirror but not on the ball you must play every shot!
So spin sensitive on my BH even more than H3 could not rally with it until I got it on a T11+.
On a T11+ with little dwell time and therefore lower spin B2 better than H3 for me.
The B2 high spin can be both good and bad for my game. If this extreme tackiness spin rubber is for your game get it, over-power the opponent's spin by playing aggressive.

Review of Friendship/729 AuroraThis is a specialist rubber for players that know what they want not for beginners to learn BH chopping with. I would not recommend this for any over the table chopping game. The closer to the net the worse this fast and furious rocket launcher gets. I would recommend Super FX 1.5mm for all round BH game or Sanwei Gears or any general purpose rubber for the new TT player.
This is a specialist rubber for specialist players and they are the players that give such a high marks to this rubber. Just thought someone should say that or we will get the wrong type of players spending their money on it.

Globe 999
|
Review of Globe 999Red 999 1.8mm very grippy nice rubber with olive oil. It's not at all sticky a bit of tack not like the old black 999. Have Globe updated this rubber. Chopping is great,
gives spin and deception my opponents hate it. But slow sponge on my BH so have to win points by spin not hitting. Give the 1.8mm some PO it will go to 2mm and a week to sort itself out and then speed glue, then LOL. For me the no speed glue is better than H3NPO I like being in control of the ball. The ball bounces short over the net so it's up to you to find the impossible angle shots, good for the short game. I am tempted to say great top sheet shame about the sponge but if the sponge is responsible for it's unique characteristics then it is a price worth paying. The weight for 1.2mm black is uncut 56g cut 40g red uncut 62g. It is heavy so with anything over 1.2mm I would say consider the weight. Boosting 1.2mm to 1.5 mm only adds 3g and that is what I have played with.

Review of Palio HK1997 BiotechGood rubber for BH hand because it will not be over powered by smashing to it. Can give good sensitivity in short game and drop shots are possible with my off- blade. In spite of this still a fast rubber. Can chop well and also suits my attacking game. I now use HK1997 on FH and BH. The 36-38 degrees sponge is light. I wish I tried Hk1997 first before all the other rubbers it is that good in the short game. Warning using PO to boost this rubber turned it into a mush.

Review of Palio AK 47 RedCompletely non-tacky so good spin insensitivity I now hit with more confidence with all the spin and speed I need.
I did a test on red and blue I put the harder AK-47 red sponge on the FH of an T11+ blade. To give the ball more dwell time the softer AK-47 blue+po on the BH. The speed of the boosted AK-47 blue was much the same as the unboosted AK-47 red but the softer blue had more spin. AK-47 blue did not chop well unboosted on a Dr N balsa blade the ball would go up but OK when boosted on an pg7 and T11+ blade. Blue is a deadly and light rubber when boosted if I did not boost then I would always buy the red. I have never had a problem with Ak47 red when chopping. Red and blue can take power out of shots for short game BH is not over powered when hitting to it. So power with control I am very happy with Ak47.

On an 729/V6 boosted blue is fantastic but this rubber needs boosting to get better control and spin than the red.

Review of Sanwei GearsI am a over the table BH dominant player. I played my local spin demon with H3neo and lost so I went to Sanwei Gears and won.
I have been trying to find something better than Sanwei Gears for the last 3 years but no luck. The first two sheets were black 42 g cut then red 51g cut then this seasons sheet was 51g with a firmer sponge that plays better than ever. The chopping over the table is an amazing improvement. I can loop as well as any rubber I have tried too. A party trick is the high spin slow close to the net serve that produces a high return. Sanwei Gears improves short game sensitivity on an off T11+ blade. I easily hit passed players with my All+ 729/V6. Not spin sensitive on my BH Gears makes it easy for me to do any shot. I can not find a better BH rubber to give me confidence in my game than Gears. So for me Gears has no opponent for back hand.

Review of Sanwei Rings LinkI bought this rubber because of the of the high ratings that sounded too good to be true.
Well for me they were:- I found this rubber gives me less spin than S Gears but it was rated at 9.3 at the time.
The person I made the bat up for sold it on because of the high weight of the two sheets rated light average.
The moral is here we need an objective not subjective measure of the bats performance.
As an example If the weight were stated in grams then there would be no room for error.

Yinhe Mercury II
|
Review of Yinhe Mercury IIMedium 63g uncut 45g cut soft 42g cut. Medium going soft after BO boosting. Soft+ BO is too slow for my off+ blade but medium better than OK rubber with good dwell for stiff fast hard carbon blade. Tip I can re-glue if I use Pritt stick stationery glue on blade and rubber with books on top for 6 hours but normal TT glue will destroy it.
