I tested this rubber in Black, Hardness 36, 1.5mm to use it on backhand. I was a bit disappointed. Ok it's 1.5mm. I compare this to DHS TinArc3, 2.1mm, H37 and 729 Focus III Snipe, 2.1mm, H44. The dwell time was almost none, and it's almost impossible for me to use for top spin. Quite good though for defensive play and under spin. I tried it out on my forehand. I'm playing with much spin and brush loops, using DHS Hurricane III NEO normally. My conclusion is that it lacks speed, probably because of the 1.5mm sponge. Spin is about the same as 729 Focus III Snipe.
This rubber is in my opinion not as slow as in the overall rating !!!! (- ... the 36 as well as the 38° degree version!)
It is clearly one of the fastest Chinese rubber i have ever played. (... and I played a lot of!)
In my opinion, it´s a fast allround rubber with good control, medium spin and a medium low (at 38°) and a medium (at 36°) throw angle.
The ball placement after service is easy, the specified sponge hardnesses from 36 or 38 degree are probably about 2 degrees higher. The medium hard top sheet and also the sponges are very clean processed (therefore good to cut). In addition, the rubbers have a good durability. The weights of my 38 degree versions lies between 50 - 55 g. uncut incl. protectiv film for 1,8 - 2,2 mm. ( cutted on my blade, 158 x 150 mm, between 36 and 40 g.)
The version with 36 degree sponge has more dynamic (catapult), a , medium high throw angle and a better control, than the 38 dregree version. The weight of my 1,8 mm version in red is (uncut with film) 58 g and 36 g on my blade. My red 2 mm rubber had 72 g in original packaging, 55 g inclusive protection film and 35 g cutted. My black 2,2 mm version weighed 72 g packed up, 56 g incl. film and 40 g cutted. ( – ... on my OFF blade, 158 x 150 mm )
I feel the new 36 degree sponge version as an upgrade of the 38 degree version and consider it an excellent backhand rubber.
Reviewed: 2.0/Red on DHS P7. Tacky first few days, then non-tacky (I wanted non-tacky). Great control on BH. Has 2 gears (med/med-fast). And to boot it's light.
I'm able to BH loop better, and can serve spins good.
