Andro Rasanter C53
Review of Andro Rasanter C53Very unique rubber. Without booster, its moderately fast, but not very fast. It also bottoms out more easily than real Chinese tacky rubbers. But the magic of this rubber is how much control you get. It sometimes feels like you can't miss shots, or sometimes feels like the ball magically finds the table. The rubber is marketed as designed for counter-looping, and it really does seem to do this well. Jun 29, 2023

Butterfly Glayzer 09C

Review of Butterfly Glayzer 09CThis rubber is too slow for backhand, and not quite hard or powerful enough for forehand. It's kind of like a softer, slower, less tacky Hurricane 3. I feel the rubber needs some booster, otherwise it is just too slow. With booster, it is fast enough on 90% of regular match shots. But on the hardest topend power shots, it can't reach the same power as harder rubbers like H3 40 or Dignics 09c. Not a total failure, but far from a success. Jun 29, 2023

Dawei Inspirit

Review of Dawei InspiritI don't see any reason to pay such high prices for euro/jap rubbers when this great rubber is available. It is a beautiful looking rubber, with grippy non-tacky topsheet. The speed is very good, mechanical spin is good. Reacts quite well to speed glue as well. This is a great all around rubber that is effective on serves, smashes, loops, blocks, etc. Suitable for forehand as well as backhand. If you're looking for replacement to euro or jap rubbers, I think this rubber will give you everything you need.Mar 14, 2022

Review of Derwind StolzVery similar to other mid-range BIOS ESN rubbers such as Gold Arc 5. This plays like a slightly toned-down Rakza 7 Soft. Overall a nice backhand rubber.Very nice control, great feeling and consistency. Jul 12, 2022

DHS NEO Hurricane 3
Review of DHS NEO Hurricane 3Out of package, this rubber seems very very slow. The ball basically sticks to the topsheet, and it requires a huge adjustment to your stroke. The sponge feels very dead, very flat, and non-reactive.After a few more sessions and adding some baby oil, the sponge starts to engage the ball more. The speed becomes a little better, and the tackiness wears off. Im not a big fan of this rubber, as I want something more bouncy. If you can create your own power though, Im sure it would play fine. The longer you play with it, the more you come to appreciate the racket. I feel the rubber needs to be on a very fast blade, Viscaria and above. That way it doesnt feel so slow and you can get decent speed. This rubber plays significantly better with booster. Aug 08, 2022

DHS Gold Arc 5

Review of DHS Gold Arc 5I really like this rubber. It's not officially a tensor rubber, but it plays very similarly to a tensor. It's half a gear lower-pace than tensors. But it's quite close to common tensor rubbers such as Rakza 7 or G1. I agree with the average speed rating. The rubber was faster than I thought it would be, and it has a very nice catapult effect.Overall great feeling, great control, and it feels like your loops cannot miss. DHS H8-80
Review of DHS H8-80Pretty nice backhand rubber. It's not really made for speed, but its more of a control/spin bh type rubber. The extra tack and grip really helps on bh loops and spin shots. Speed is pretty low out of box, but is pretty good speed with booster. For me, the extra grip is really worth it, despite the slightly lower speed.Mar 06, 2024

DHS Hurricane 8
Review of DHS Hurricane 8To me, this is really the best rubber you can get for offensive loopers. Out of box, it is a bit slow, but it has a strong reaction to booster and becomes a real weapon. The control is similar, but maybe slightly worse than H3. The spin is similar to H3. However, the big breakthrough is the overall speed and power. For many who find H3 slow, H8 is quite a bit faster, especially after boosting. This rubber is really good for both FH and BH. The power and spin/speed ratio is just amazing, and you can overwhelm your opponent with power shots. Mar 06, 2024

Donic Bluegrip S1
Review of Donic Bluegrip S1At first I felt this rubber was a bit slow for bh, but it started to grow on me. It's a tradeoff. With the extra tackiness, you get more control on opening loops, serves, pushes. But you lose ease of block, you lose some speed compared to standard ESN rubber.Over time this rubber really grew on me and I started to love it more and more. Basically with this rubber you can play 5% slower but 15% higher quality. To really take advantage of the rubber, you need to play more active with more loops, more flicks, etc. Using the rubber to actively spin is the key. The rubber doesn't not block and play straight as well as the type of G1 or MXP rubber. Jun 29, 2023

Review of Friendship/729 Bloom PowerMaybe my favorite rubber. Not only is it very cheap, it surpasses many other Chinese FH style rubbers. It has better speed and also very good spin compared to other Chinese rubbers. Friendship/729 Presto Max Speed

Review of Friendship/729 Presto Max SpeedThis is the fastest Chinese made rubber that I have ever tried. Very fast, very bouncy, excellent feeling. It can come reasonably close to a lot of ESN tensor rubbers, despite its lower price.Quite similar to AK47 red, but more bouncy and elastic feeling. More catapult feeling. However, the rubber does seem to have a oddly low throw angle. I feel my BH shots going straight into the net a lot, it takes a little extra brush upwards to cross the net. Maybe that is its biggest drawback. Jan 10, 2023

Friendship/729 Aurora Max PRO

Review of Friendship/729 Aurora Max PROI have the medium-hard sponge. Decent all around backhand rubber. Not too slow, but not fast for sure. Unboosted it feels quite unremarkable, and feels a bit like a beginners rubber. Speed would be like a 8.3 or something. However, after testing a little Haifu Seamoon on this rubber, it reacts incredibly well. The bounce becomes more than MXP or Tenergy or other popular bouncy rubbers. It literally is the bounciest and fastest rubber I have ever tried. Speed is 9.5 with booster. Its quite spinny as well. This rubber is very fun to power-drive with on the backhand, and very fun to block with. It feels like it has a lot of control with a lot of rebound. Booster is a must on this rubber. Don't recommend this rubber if you don't plan on boosting. Dec 23, 2022

Review of Friendship/729 Battle MAX PRODecent speed unboosted, but more speed with booster. Overall this rubber is pretty good for fh, and does a bit of everything you need. It is tacky, fairly hard 40d, good speed and good spin. The arc is slightly low-ish, but feels more normal arc than Battle 2. Review of Friendship/729 Battle II ProvincialThis rubber is different from H3. It is faster than H3, but suffers from a slightly unusually low arc. Not super comfortable to use, but not too hard to adjust to either. It is very tacky, and the dwell time and catch of the rubber is excellent. You can really grab the ball very well and launch it powerfully. If you are a strong looper, you should love this rubber. Loki T3

Review of Loki T3Non-tacky matte topsheet with a black carbon sponge. Its pretty fast for a Chinese rubber, I think very similar speed as AK47 red, but the topsheet doesn't seem as grippy. Topsheet is kinda smooth. I recommend it for backhand. Fairly forgiving rubber, as its very good for blocking and smashing and flicking. Because of the matte topsheet, its not very sensitive to spin.Overall, it's faster than some ESN rubbers, but doesn't have as much spin as the average ESN rubber. Review of Loki RXTON IFor $5, this is the best rubber available at this ridiculously low price. Speed and spin are decent, not very fast, but reasonable. Has bouncier feeling than H3, so it works on FH or BH. The current 7.9 speed rating I feel is too low. I feel its a little bouncier/faster than H3. Loki Arthur Asia

Review of Loki Arthur AsiaSome of the reviews gave 10's and 9.8 for speed. That is very overrated. This should be a 8.5 for speed, in my opinion. It's faster than H3, Target, but it is slower than Big Dipper, Battle 2, Bloom Power, Moon Speed, AK47.The speed is good, spin is fine, but the control stands out in my opinion. It's relatively easy to execute drives, loops, blocks with consistency. Balanced rubber. The biggest issue is that it is extremely heavy. Maybe the heaviest rubber I have ever seen. If you need a specific weight, this rubber will mess up your overall weight badly. Depending on what you want, there may be better and cheaper options. But if you really need control, this rubber leaves a strong impression. Mar 19, 2022

Loki GTX Pro
Review of Loki GTX ProOk, this rubber is strange to review. Without booster: this rubber is a complete failure. It has extremely low dwell time, a very strange feeling, and no control at all.You must boost this rubber with both baby oil AND Chinese oil booster. I have tried this with only booster, and it dramatically improves the speed and power, but still with no control. If you apply just a little baby oil, the dwell time dramatically changes and becomes a control and power and spin monster. This rubber serves the same function and style as Dignics 09c but it generally surpasses D09c in power and especially control. You get the sensation that you can swing harder and harder without ever missing. The ball just seems to land into the table. I highly recommend this rubber for your FH, but even bh. There is sooo much power, spin, and especially control. With the right treatment and setup, this is seriously a MONSTER of a rubber. I really hope more people try it. Nittaku Hammond Pro Alpha
Review of Nittaku Hammond Pro AlphaVery fast elastic rubber. Really should be a BH rubber. It reacts to incoming loops almost like anti-spin rubber. There is very little topsheet grip, it is almost smooth. Most of the spin is from the ball sinking into the sponge, on loops. Because the surface has little grip, it's not good for serve. It has good loop/drive and fantastic block. Also, the rubber has a very low throw angle. I find myself constantly adjusting my backhand drive angle to get the ball over the net. Review of Palio AK 47 Yellow SpongeVery light, fairly bouncy, fairly reactive rubber. Faster than the blue sponge version. Very easy to loop and use all around. Also the cheapest version of AK47 series, I think it tends to be slightly overlooked. A balance between the Red and Blue versions, this version actually suits a lot of people.Speed and spin are quite good, but not as fast as tensor. Review of Palio AK 47 BlueThe speed rating shows higher speed than the yellow version, which isnt true. I believe blue is slower than yellow. Also, 9.0 speed rating is too fast I think. I gave it a 8.6, its definitely faster than H3 or Target. Its more similar to Big Dipper speed, but not ESN speed. For a BH rubber, AK47 series might be the best choice among affordable Chinese rubbers.Fairly elastic rubber with matte grippy surface. Very thin topsheet. Palio HK1997 Gold
Review of Palio HK1997 GoldFirst, the current 8.9 rating for speed on this rubber is completely overrated. It is nowhere near that level of speed, and in fact is quite a slow rubber without booster. It has a very dead-bounce feel. With booster, I think its reasonably fast. Also, it is unusual in that it is a porous sponge. Very different sponge and performance than AK47. The topsheet is soft and elastic, and makes it very difficult to push short and low. The throw angle is very low, and I feel many shots go straight into the net. I think this rubber was meant to be designed as a FH rubber, but it fails for me as a FH rubber. It is way too soft and tops out easily. However, it does has some merit as a backhand rubber. It is quite forgiving, and its not hard to do opening loops or distance loops. With a little booster, the rubber is quite bouncy and reactive, and has some good elasticity and bouciness. I think its much better as a backhand rubber, and takes a while for the rubber to break-in. After struggling for a week or so, I started to really enjoy it on the BH. It is quite good for blocking, counter punching, and close to table shots. Aug 24, 2022

Review of Reactor Tornado V5This is a real gem of a rubber. Not well known, but its surprisingly spinny and bouncy. The topspin can really overwhelm opponents at times. Its also very cheap. If you just hit the ball flat, the speed itself isnt so fast. But it really shines when you do loop-drives. The grippy topsheet creates a lot of spin and power. Out of the box, its quite slow. It needs to be opened up with baby oil or booster. With booster, it completely transforms into a lethal weapon. Mar 30, 2022

Review of Reactor Thunder Black SpongeNice looking black dense sponge, with medium-tacky topsheet. It has a very modern look to it. Ball sticks to the sheet a little when new. This rubber is impressively and surprisingly spinny. The topsheet is both tacky and grippy and can really spin the ball heavy when you want to. The rubber can bite the ball, and your loops can kick off the table.Out of package, it has the typical Chinese dead-feel to it. Its not very bouncy or fast and needs booster to be competitive. Review of Sanwei Target 90I call this a H3 lite. It has some similar characteristics as H3, but less tacky hence the 90 name. Not a very fast or bouncy rubber, medium level speed but its really more of a spin-oriented rubber. Ball stays on the rubber for longer. More of a controlled attack rubber. Short game feels good. Quite spinny, very similar dynamic as H3, but maybe not quite as spinny. Also the bright red sponge on black topsheet looks beautiful. The topsheet itself also still stays shiny and new-looking even after many weeks of play. Feb 12, 2022

Review of Sanwei Target Pro 3 (Nano Penetration)This rubber is in the same archetype as H3, with a very tacky topsheet and a dense sponge. This rubber just feels very slow and dead to me. Even after 3 layers of booster, it really can't generate much speed. It seems like it doesn't react as well to booster as H3.Also, the throw angle/arc is extremely low. Review of Victas TRIPLE Double ExtraThis is a very tacky rubber with a hard sponge, but surprisingly soft topsheet. It's quite slow at low impact, but at higher impact the sponge is very powerful and lively. It's different from H3 in that it is powerful without booster.Overall this rubber performs very well for Chinese-style loop forehand. It is quite hard to use and requires good technique and strength. Review of Yinhe Big DipperVery reliable, all around excellent forehand rubber. Less demanding and easier to use than typical Chinese rubbers. Its much more bouncy and very much a hybrid rubber. It is quite fast, and also very powerful. The 8.5 speed rating is too low IMO, so I gave it a 9. Definitely bouncier/faster than H3. Probably a little faster than Battle 2 or Bloom Power.Because of the bounciness, short game and slow-looping is not as good as more conventional Chinese rubbers. Overall very fast topspin attack. Less short-game control than H3. It's not as tacky and spinny as H3 or Battle 2. A more clicky, responsive feeling than H3. Aug 08, 2022

Yinhe Moon Speed

Review of Yinhe Moon SpeedI had 2 sheets of Moon Speed, a Hard and a Medium. I don't recommend the hard. It feels very dense and dead, it feels very linear and has no catapult feeling. It feels difficult to play with and not impressive in general. The medium version is a wonderful rubber that I highly recommend. It kinda looks like a Tenergy, and plays like a toned down version. It is quite grippy and can generate good spin. It has a nice bounce and elasticity. Not Tenergy level bounciness, but at least it has a decent level of elasticity. I give it a 8.8 for speed, it has very good speed at this price point. Open ups and loop and flicks are all good with this rubber. Especially I find blocking very good with this rubber. It blocks very stable and is good for counterpunch. From behind the table, it lacks a little bit of power. You need to provide your own power a little. This is a very good alternative to AK47. AK47 is more matte, moon speed is more glossy. Jul 30, 2022

Review of Yinhe Mercury III EUROI got a sheet of this to see for myself. I was surprised that such a cheap rubber could get a 9.2 speed rating on Revspin. Now that I have a sheet, I can see that probably a lot of beginners got this rubber and rated it highly. It is nowhere near a 9.2, and I gave it a 8. I think its significantly less bouncy than Moon Speed and AK47. The control is good, and it has a good feeling to hit, especially on backhand. Not really a good rubber for looping. And it doesn't have enough rebound to play away from table. If you want a fast backhand rubber, I would recommend the Moon Speed or AK47.
